I would like to thank DBD for my PS5 control stick drift.
I know they changed the wiggle mechanic but it came far too late for my PS5 controller Now it drifts quite badly. and I may have to get a new one eventually. they're $90 dollars a shot though. so yeah

Honestly the problem is sony is still making their controllers cheaply af. Thought we'd be getting more quality with new gen but that isn't the case. My headphone jack just straight up stopped working for no reason. It's also starting to get stick drift as well. I don't know why as I'm not even rough with my controllers. Hasn't even been 6 months since I got mine either.

Blame sony for purposely making it impossible for a normal person to change the stick. There is nothing stopping them from making it hot swappable.

PS5 controllers are known for drift issues regardless of DBD.

Sony controllers are garbo since ds4. Never had too much problem with them until then.
Ds1 was godlike sturdy it lasted for years even when I was kid and had rage tantrums with it.
I have 3 ds4's and they all have issues. Sad to see durability is still on the decline on next gen as well.

Its not Dead by Daylights fault.
Its your, or more likely, Sonys fault.
Coming from a PS5 user who also had a drift.

why? All you had to do was small and slow circles.
You never had to spam it.

It's a marketing tactic from Sony to make you have to buy the new controller, they know it's cheap and that they're gonna tear up but you have to buy their controller for it to work with a PS5 so they've got you either way
