Why is Kate Denson blocked on text chat?
It gives me the # whenever I try to say her name which I think is interesting?

Why horror game has chat filter anyway? You are murdering people on game but you can not write some words. Are we in joke?

Wasnt you the one who kepts telling me this is a PARTY game and NOT a horror game? You were pretty serious about it.
Seems like you keep twisting everything in the way its good for you.

Because some words should never be said, in any context, like slurs. There's absolutely no reason to use certain words except to explicitly hurt the other person, and these words can have a major effect.
The current filter is far too draconian, and blurs words it shouldn't while words it should are let fly. But some things should never be spoken, regardless of context and especially not over a damn video game. And if you're someone that says slurs when you're angry, then reevaluate yourself.

It can be a party game with a horror theme.

It is a party game with a mature rating. The filter should be optional.

She knows what she did.

DbD is not horror game for sure because BHVR decided to change it. But still there is one killer, chasing survivors and murdering them. So what is your point?

Because the filter has strange days sometimes... i still think it blocks random words.

So is Rancor.

Interesting BHVR 🤔.

There should be an option to disable it. Consenting adults should be able to say whatever they like to one another.

I always found it interesting (and by interesting I mean stupid) that kill and killer words used frequently in the game - one side is even named 'killer' is blanked out in chat.
Their filters make little sense. I guess we don't have adults playing this game according to BHVR - they have to censor everything.
They should just disable chat entirely if they are going to handle it like this.

Yes

Have they given any reason??? That's my question.
