you're not bad at the game
Just because you wife a skill check or two doesn't mean you are a bad teammate or bad at the game. I keep reading comments here and there from other players completely ripping into folks missing skill checks or being downed super early in the game. How else do you suppose the game starts?
It's kinda lame and unnecessary. Just play the game and be respectful.

Well, after a certain amount of bourbon, I may be.
Skillchecks are my sobriety check on a Friday night. If I miss a few, time to put the Reggae Rock on the Bluetooth, and see if my lady wants to dance around the living room!

This is oddly wholesome. I went down earlier really fast because my cat decided he wanted pets and jumped on my keyboard at that moment. So ofc I stopped mid-chase because I am not going to push him away. He deserves all the lovings; I continued to play the game normally after I was taken off of hook; but the end game was def not as wholesome as him. I threw the game getting downed early :( Or so I was told.
So to my three teammates who saw a Nancy go down super fast against an Onryo on Rotten Fields, I am so sorry q_q The cat needed me.

TBF, if you told me you had a cat to pet in the endgame but had no way to provide pics of said cat (I'm on console so I'm assuming EGC has no picture sharing ability), I'd be mad too! I'd want to see the adorable kitty!!! 😤

Most skill check fails usually occur when one pops up right when you get off a gen tbf.

Although this does remind me of a game I had a week or so ago.
She had Merciless Storm and me and another player are doing a gen when it goes off. Two skillchecks in and I fail it. I do my usual "Hang your head in shame" move when I'm with someone and I've failed a skillcheck, we wait it out and move on.
Second gen, same damn thing happens. What the hell is wrong with me?!?! Why can't I hit these basic ass skillchecks? I get there's a bunch of them but this isn't hard damn it!
Get to the third gen and guess what! Well...actually I didn't miss any skill checks cause right before it got to 90%, I let go and slinked away in shame :D
I'm not sure what the hell the killer was doing this entire time that I got the chance to do this with the same teammate three times (though to be fair, every gen we got to was already partially done but still, just a comical series of unfortunate events for your hero Tippy...
