Why do people play the game, when they don´t even want to?
1st round today: a Meg which was doing exactly nothing the whole game except for standing in the corner and hiding. She had around 2000 points afterwards (while we had around 15k) and she ended up dying firsthook as the last person alive.
2nd round today: a Jake getting downed really quickly, trying to kill himself on the first hook. I unhooked him in the second stage, he started running around the map and dropping ALL the pallets on purpose.
3rd round today: the same as in the first round but with a kate. She unhooked me once and for the rest of the match, she visited all the lockers in the map.
All of them had at least 500 hours, the meg had even 2000. I don´t understand these people, if they don´t really want to play the game, why do they? Are they so frightened (with 2k hours ?!?!?!)
Do they just want to ruin the game for everyone else? Are they just (sorry) dumb?

They're within their rights to play as they please, even if its seemingly childish. Sometimes, ya gotta take a break from taking thing sseriously, ya know?
i mean, its a g dang video game. at the end of the day, does their playstyle affect anyone in anyway aside from in the game? not really, so live and let live.

I will say, the pecking order of DBD is as follows:
SWF > Killer > Solo Survivor
I play like a total wuss in solo Q and I have thousands of hours too, lol. Why? I have played the hero enough to know it usually just gets you killed. I will play altruistic in a SWF but for Solo's? Nah, immersing for hatch is a better strategy.
I still do gens but like I have people complain to me for stopping gens when the game is 100% lost and it's just going to a hatch game. Crazy that I will get the hate but not like the people who DC or suicide or go down in 10 seconds making the game completely unwinnable.

Solo survivor is unplayable, the game almost balanced around SWF

They are not experienced enough so the way they play probably makes sense to them. Even before I got to 700 hours I think I was still hiding a lot, because I find it difficult to escape the killer.
When I see players playing ridiculously intentionally, I guess they played more than 3 hours that day and probably don't care how their games go.

Read the forums.
Those might be the ones who at least don´t dc but don´t like the map, the killer, the teammates or whatever. So next best is to get killed immediately.
Or want to level down MMR.

Actually there are a few things that can get you banned (e.g. using exploits, working with the other team, botting), you don’t have unlimited carte blanc to do anything you want in game.

Probably lowering MMR

this.... does not make sense as an answer to my statement. Who said anything about getting banned? im talking about them not taking it seriously. Jesus you guys put waaayyyy to much pressure on this game.

I have had some good teams, though it's actually a shock when you end up on a really good team. Solo I usually go in expecting to die, lol. So when the team ends up pulling off a clutch endgame save into a 4 man out or something it's probably some of the most memorable times in DBD.
Too bad the MMR doesn't really work because the consistency of the teammates you get is wild.
In League when I hit Platinum my teammates/opponents were noticeably good, every game. DBD I can still get people with like 50 hours on my team to face off into a killer with thousands and get butchered without a chance.

You said
They're within their rights to play as they please, even if its seemingly childish.
And I said that’s incorrect because you actually can’t always play as you please, some things can get you banned. Seems like a perfectly valid correction to what you said.

jesus if youre gunna split hairs that much. completely ignore the " if they dont want to take it seriously" statement though, that makes total sense

Hey don’t blame me when you say something incorrect.

hey ignore the very basis of my argument and come off pompus when you know i have a valid point

Um, the basis of your argument was “it’s just a game you can do what you want.” So I pointed out that’s incorrect, you can’t always do what you want, your basis is faulty.
I didn’t ignore the basis of what you said at all, I said the basis is wrong.
You know what comes across as pompous? Shooting the messenger.
