I miss the old ruin 😩 but I also am so happy that I dont have to focus as much on great skill checks. But it was so much fun doing the old skill checks with ruin too. Especially the reactions you'd get whenever you finished the generator with ruin active...

Old ruin would ruin the game if it was released in that state today, I can only imagine the bellyaching and pearl clutching if that perk came out in its original form today.

I think it'd be fun to see everyone's reaction including my own. I hop on a generator and be like omg they have ruin and then just be forced to try to get perfect skill checks.

I feel it'd be good in its old state in current times for high MMR's where the Killer gets gen rushed super fast, but it'd make low MMR's hell for new players.

Ruin in this state had absolutely zero effect on players that were actually good at the game -- ie high MMR.
It would do absolutely nothing, hence why it was changed in the first place.
