The MOST UNDERRATED Perk In The GAME
Do you remember that time when Elon Musk beat the Top Best Players of DOTA in the world? Well, yeah.
I was thinking after Marth88's experiment:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KQ1z4poJyE
What would happen if we'd let Elon Musk's OpenAI learn how to play Dead By Daylight on a standard killer like Wraith.
Would the most powerful form of intelligence be able to 4K a team of Toxic Survivors? Or is the game, at the highest competitive level, so severely unbalanced that nothing could ever beat a strong survivor team?
This lead me to something else...:
The MOST UNDERRATED Perk In The Game.
Can you guess it?
naaah...?
naaaaaaah?
It's Whispers!
Something that you might've noticed is that this perk tells you more than whether a survivor is close. It will tell you THE EXACT radius distance between YOU and the survivor. In this instance the perk turns on, the killer has an exact clue as to how far the survivor is away.
To humans it may only reveal this information, but to an OpenAI, it would be possible to walk backwards and slightly to the side to figure out where the EXACT location of the survivor is, due to this proximity information. The AI might be able to deduce from this whether the survivor is walking or not and can way more easily patrol the map or deduce whether there are multiple survivors within a certain range.
Although currently, stealth is not particularly the most needed tool for survival for survivors, if it had been then there is no way a perk like Whispers could go unnoticed without a nerf in the competitive AI scene.
You puny humans might not be able to understand the issue, but for those of you who do:
Vote for a Whispers rework, before AI can utilise it more effectively then we can, creating dangerous power-imbalances.

It does help you get a good read of where they are but you're over exaggerating how exact it is. This is also not even taking into account multiple survivors making it activate which can throw that off completely. It's a good perk, but the hard part of this game isn't finding someone, it's the loops + broken perks + imbalance of time given to complete their objective.
On the other note., love the video, so true.
Btw an open AI would not win against competent survivors, that's part of the issue. The BEST killer will always lose against the best survivors, it's not balanced. The killer literally doesn't have the adequate tools to win regardless of how perfect he plays bar off exceptions like nurse etc.

A little part of my brain died here. RIP

Yeah, but that would only work with one survivour being in the perk radius. MAke that two and hove some fun.
Especially since survs are on the gens, if they're not, they're dumb. You don't need ANY tracking skills to find them, seriously. But chase is the thing that AI can do great. In theory, it can easily move backwards while hearing the survivour's movement. It would really mess with lots of competent players.
Plus AI could possibly time reappearance better while picking best spots for it. In the right hands silent bell+10sec insidious will grant it lots of interruptions. I don't even know why you're talking about wraith like he's an average killer, he's great with his addons.0
