A Real Distinction Between Huntress and Deathslinger
Was discussing DBD with some friends and we noticed a small similarity but a little different about DBD's two best ranged killers:
- Huntress is incredible in chase because of her M2,M1 combo. It's devastating.
- Deathslinger is incredible in chase because of his M1, M2,M1 combo. It's devastating.
- Artist is supposed to be better than both of these two (S-Tier lol?)? But has no such ability to down people in chase.

uh, artist can down people incredibly fast in chase
just place a bird at window or pallet. and boom, injured.

Artist is better than these two because she has 1v4 potential, is 115 and still has antiloop, whereas Huntress and DS have arguably better antiloop but don't have good 1v4

I mean, can Deathslinger preassure Generators across the whole map? I don't think so.

If by pressure gens you mean maybe hit a survivor followed by them jumping in and out of a locker, then no he can't. But he can win a chase in considerably less time than Artist can.

This may surprise you, but the actual difference is a hatchet throwing hag woman that tries to raise children in the forest, and a mechanically crazed western bounty hunter with anger issues.

There isn't always a Locker next to a Generator, and even if they jumped in, they are still wasting time not working on Generators while you're still getting closer.
Deathslinger also cares about LoS, so on indoor maps he's pretty garbage, on the other hand, Artist cares about elevation most of the time, which destroys her aswell, but there is less elevation on most maps than there are walls.
Artist can also deny loops, even with tall walls, while Deatslinger struggles to even turn around that tile before the Survivor hides behind a corner again.

I wouldn't say Deathslinger is anywhere close to being "devastating", let alone when it comes to chases. Ever since his TR nerf, Deathslinger just isn't going to start that many chases if Survivors ShiftW away from him

It's not even the TR change. With the windup, it's really easy to just dodge the spear in general. Survivors move faster than Deathslinger's ability to aim horizontally in ADS.

So Deathslinger is a 4.4 M1 Killer with a 32 Meter Terror Radius? That was a good and balanced nerf that slightly weakened him but didn't just delete him

I'm not saying the 32m TR change was good. Just that I don't think the 32m change is what did the most damage.
Honestly the whole deathslinger nerf was just unnecessary in the first place.
