Gen rushing is still a problem
Yes we got a CoH nerf that's awesome
we still have the fact that gens fly faster than rockets, i played 2 hours, not a single game won as killer the most i get is 1k by facecamping in end game
seriously i don't wanna play nurse, i wanna enjoy my nemsis, my pyramid head, i wanna have something else beside Noed 99% of the time, this is really unfair, and just depression like hell
Either play toxic and get toxicity from survivors or play as u are suppose to play and get bagged at the door
there is just no solution is there
Actually there is a solution, see ya in June, i got my auric cells for the next killer i might as well forget about this game for a while
Have "Fun" everyone

Not to be mean, but gen rushing is mostly a function of poor play or preparation on the killer's part. If you are using a low mobility or less powerful killer, you need to run gen defense/regression perks, sometimes more than one. And knowing which gens to defend, etc. is important.
If a team comes in with a bunch of commodious toolboxes, BNPs, spools, etc., there's not much to be done for that by anyone, and that doesn't seem like it would be fun for the survs, but it'll happen.
Now if you're newer to the game and don't have access to all the perks on your favorite killers because of the god forsaken grind, that's a tough spot.

If you sweat for wins all the time that is what you will get in return 😂
9 -
Honestly at this point i dont even care some games i destroy some games i get destroyed that is called balance.
1 -
i have all perks on most killers
but what's the point of running the same thing over and over, its boring
2 -
I agree. I main Myers and it's annoying and boring that Corrupt Intervention can literally never leave my build or I'm putting myself way behind the pace. I want to use other stuff but that perk can never leave my build or I fear I will lose 3 gens before I even start playing the game.
3 -
Not everyone wants to or can be bothered to play the 3 gen game that you should never win as killer anyway.
1 -
All I can say is just run gen perks and pressure them better. Watch videos of good players and see how they do it.
1 -
I agree. Corrupt Intervention should just be a part of the beginning of the match for any Killer.
2 -
Not to be rude but with mmr you should expect to lose more than a few games if you arent running meta. Yes it gets boring but if your more focused on getting kills or wins then dont use meme builds. You shouldnt expect to win if you do so.
1 -
not using meme loadouts, literally trying any build, but the tryhard build is a loss
0 -
yea it gets boring using the same meta build 100 times over but if you care more about the kills then the actual fun or meme of your build you really shouldn't use them. Yea you will take losses regardless of the build you use but if you truly want to try something new don't get upset at the loss and just take it as something to reflect. What misplay did you make, was the map just not in your favor etc, just enjoy the build and don't keep having your expectations to 4k with that build. You can't always expect yourself to win.
0 -
i don't expect a 4k every game hell even 2k is rare these days
all i want is to chase some survivors, but no they move from gen to gen, they don't even play anymore its just gen simulator for them and get out
and don't forget whole dead hard squad, and ds
2 -
yea they suck but I mean mmr kinda made this into a thing. People want to win. So they'll do all the can to, to win
1 -
tho its kinda funny when u start playing toxic against TTVS, which are usually worst than your typical gen rusher cuz they are mostly SWF
they start giving u positivity and "how to play the game", yea sure, u didn't do 5 gens in 4 mins or anything its my fault for not knowing how to play my prestige 3 ghostface
like i don't get it, survivors used to care to try and have fun, now its just boring they made this game so boring that killer mains just wanna get out of the game when they hear 3 gens at 2 mins, like personally if i hear 3 gens at 2 mins i just roam and wait for them finish, open the game and tell them gtfo
0 -
lol yea it does suck but thats mmr for you
0 -
welp until they release a new chapter im keeping this game out of my SSD, cuz i don't need more depression and stress in my life
thanks for the talk and have a good night
0 -
you as well btw even if you dont want to play this game anymore id be more than happy to do duo with you
0 -
sadly im a full killer main, i only played survivor because i wanted auric cells so i don't have to pay for the next DLC. but i will keep you in mind
thanks

It’s more about weak, outdated killers, survivor sided maps, bad rng, spawning on gens, second chance perks and sometimes items, which make gens feel as though they go too quickly. Even highly skilled killers can lose 2 to 3 gens within their first chase.
2 -
Honestly these days it feel like all of those things are happen every game its not even funny
0 -
Yes gens go fast, but its def helps if your first chase is not a good survivor. If you realise you are chasing the wrong survivor from the start it can cost or save you alot of time.
But ye if you face 4 good survivors or a swf, then tough luck. No way without a A tier killer you win that match
0 -
I see so many people complaining about gen rush, yet they decide to often chase people that aren’t even on gens. I see it in many streams. I think you’re just bad as killer if you think gen rush is a thing and nurse is the only playable killer. I play a variety of killers and I 3k-4K more than I lose games, and I’m on console.
3 -
Yeah cause chasing ppl of gens is a guarantee to not have another survivor on that gens finishing the chased survivor's work.
Come on, some maps are horrendous and can't be played without beeing a tier killer.
Kilelr need to find the weak spot and exploit it. Do that and you win a match. But it can takle a while to fidn that survivor. Or not have one in the first place
3 -
If you play 2 Hours and cannot get more than a 1K in any game you play during those 2 hours (how many games? 10? 12?) and you are playing Killers who are not bad at all (Pyramid Head or Nemesis), then you might be the problem.
Do you have some gameplay?
7 -
They can't nerf gens speed. If they do that nurse and blight will be op especially with some perks. Did you even considered that?
1 -
they are already OP to some survivors, just because they counter gensspeed
1 -
As a survivor main I can say I agree to a point with you. It is boring for survivors to when one person is in a chase and the three others are on separate gens and they all pop around the same time we all know you are going to camp first hook. It depends if I am playing solo or in SWF if I will successfully get off the hook. I see killers cry about DS because its 'unfair' but I had to start running DS for this very reason. If you had went and got someone else no DS would have happened but because you have already 'lost' you have to tunnel. If I am in a SWF they will have the other two gens done before rescuing and if there is noed will often find and cleanse it.
The simple fact is genrushing is in the killers head the survivors whole objective is to do gens and if I am not getting to chased I am going to do a gen. It is not my fault that a lot of maps are massive and for slower and M1 killers struggle to play them. The gen is quite fast and this is what leads to feeling that groups are gen rushing but if you start a chase with a decent looper who goes long enough 3 gens can realistically pop before you make it to the hook. It is boring for both sides and its hard because often if I actively look for the killer to loop and what have you I am called toxic. Nothing is perfect but the devs need to balance the gen progression because I can hear the crying now if they up the time to finish a gen lol.
0 -
You think gens are flying fast now, wait until the CoH nerf goes live and people go from the healing perks to the gen speed perks.
0 -
So you're saying camping a hook is a legit strategy and should never be seen otherwise. As a kilelr objective is to kill
2 -
Yeah and due to how matchmaking works even low MMR killers have to put up with several thousand hour SWF on comms taking full advantage of it lol.
1 -
its not about Being "Bad" you chase someone who isn't on a gen because you know they are about to pop 4 gens so u might as well get that person out while he is in your sights
1 -
And ofcourse dont forget about beeing the 115 speed killer with bloodlust one and not beeing able to catch up to a survivor who's also winning every mindgame behind walls
2 -
and then when u actually outplay them, they press one button and there goes all of ur effort, its amazing right?
1 -
Gen rush doesnt exist. Its your own inability to play well as killer.
4 -
no.
1 -
Ok, so slugging nurse with a mori?or you preffer facing a blight? Can i offer you a basement bubba instead?
3 -
Play how you want. Is it a stategy that when playing a SWF might net you 2k sure. Is it a good and fair strategy from a survivor side? no. Do I personally think that you are scum of the earth if this is all you know how to do? Sure. Do I really care at the end of the day? No. Do I think there is a true way to fix it? Nope. Do I think killers should be penalized for doing this? IDC. Do I wish that survivors who have a killer breathing in their face had the option to kick the killer instead of flapping like a bird even if it was just an animation and not doing anything? Yes that would be funny. Do I wish my pips that I was spoon fed were protected so if I was camped and tunnel so the trash proved they have 'true skill'? Sure but meh not even trying you can easily get to grade 1 (1m bp all that matters). Not sure what you were aiming to trip me up on but honestly if you need you camping and tunneling and you don't want to get better then I'll just keep improving so I can escape and not get camped or waste you time so my teammates can book it out leaving you skill-less because if kill=skill and you get 1k or of a possible 4k obv you have no skill. 😂

Maps are bigger problem tbh.

true, map offerings and mist addon removed could be a thing that helps killers out alot.

Look at the best current players and tell them how they can avoid gen-rushes.
I'm thinking CoconutRTS as the best Huntress and one sitting at the top of the DbD player ladder (DbD Player base)
I'm thinking Supaalf a 5k hours Nurse who measured his chases in a recent video and still got gens flying.
Gen-rushing is easy and even beginners can do it "by chance". It only requires to play parallel solo gen-jockys and brute-force it. (Plus a few other tactics to make it more efficient.)
True, if I get a team of begginers doing it to me, they're likely to get exterminated. But only because I've got thousands of hours on them. Against good survivors there is just no counter besides "hope they make a mistake" or "luck".
Tunneling helps, of course.
0 -
Nurse and huntress, tehre you have it
0 -
Idk the TTV’s I get are very nice, I had to slug and tunnel one and after the match I went into his stream, and he was super chill about it.
0 -
That’s an excuse. If you chase survivors that are doing gens, you’re a more efficient killer. Survivors that are not doing gens shouldn’t be your priority.
As soon as you understand this, you’ll be a more successful killer.
1 -
It might have had something to do with yesterday's matchmaking test, but if you played 2 hours and were only getting 1k matches through facecamping that honestly sounds like a skill issue more than anything.
0 -
Otz, Tru, ... are TTVs, technically. The thing is, many people using the TTV tag are getting it go to their heads. They play like entitled pocs and it ruins the game for everybody.
Then you have the good ones who of course will not take offense at anything you did.
1 -
So the game's fine? Gen speed is fine?
0 -
Corrupt. Without it gens will go fast
0 -
the problem is not playing with Corrupt is the fact that im FORCED to play with a perk just to get a chance
u get me?
0 -
Yeah killers always been that way, admittedly I was unlucky before SBMM as I play at off peak times but it's just the way it is and will always be when matchmaking is a thing. I dont run perks for fun, I run them so I have a chance to play and possibly have fun in my killer matches.
