Fear City: A family style comedy (La Cité de la peur: une comédie familiale) is a 1994 french horror comedy/parody movie made by the group Les Nuls, heavily inspired by slasher movies and ZuckerAbrahamZucker's humour. The movie also parodies big budget American films (Basic Instinct, Pretty Woman and The Terminator, among others, are directly spoofed) and relies heavily on puns and word play, which makes it somewhat inaccessible for non-French speakers. It follows the story of Odile Deray, the press officer of Red is Dead, a really bad slasher movie, in her preparation for the Festival of Cannes as strange murders are operated by the villain of the movie, getting the attraction of movie critics aswell as the Police. In this adventure to stop the killer, she will be accompanied by Serge Karamazov (her bodyguard) and Simon Jérémi (star of the movie).

The movie is called out to be one of the best (if not the best) french comedy movie ever, and gained a cult status in France over the years.
