Range killers on Switch. (or console in general.)
I just wanted to ask if you guys can make a way to make range killers like Trickster, Huntress, Nemesis, Artist, Pyramid Head, Demogorgon (Shred), Doctor (Shock Therapy), Twins, Clown, Plague, and Deathslinger a bit easier on Switch. It's difficult to land shots no matter how low the sensitivity is. It snaps left and right which makes others and I feel a bit robbed plus that's a huge chunk of the roster that others and I have issues with. I'm not asking for anything crazy but just a little bit of help would work. I just wanna play with some range killers and have fun. Thank you

Having some basic controller settings would help a lot, M&K support even more. 60fps would also go a long way in improving performance as well.

It is not that difficult or impossible to aim with controller. Just takes some practice. Maybe try watching some videos on youtube about this topic, some hints.
Also, in my opinion you should have very high sensitivity on controller in this game, because you got to turn around very very fast.

Not many people post their matches on console... I mean I do but I ain't special

I play primarily on PS5, which has pretty nice controllers, but the support for controllers (generally) in game is definitely lacking.
I don't have issues with most of the killers you mentioned, but hitting longer range shots with Huntress, Artist, and Trickster takes another layer of concentration, for sure. Not impossible, but not nearly as smooth as with a mouse.
Some of it just inherent, too; a controller is something supported solely by your hands and subject to motion generated by other hand movements, so it will never be as stable and precise as PC peripherals sitting on a flat surface. Not much to be done for that, unfortunately.

I can hit range shots just fine on Apex etc, but that has way more controller options such as various response curves, acceleration and dead zone options.
Any first person view game should have this sort of thing in 2022 especially when it’s been out as long and as successful as DbD has been.
Even though hitting shots can be possible on controller in DbD; there is often a trade off between having correct control over ranged attacks, and being able to keep up with survivor movements which can often be faster than you can turn.
Even something basic like Dual Zone would be a huge QoL improvement, where the inner 50% moves slower and can be used for fine aim, where the outer 50% moves faster and can be used to turn quickly. Most FPS’ use this sort of thing as a default curve now because the same issues can arise with something like Apex where you have to play at both extreme long range and extreme close range all throughout the matches.

I do pretty good with Deathslinger, Trickster, and Huntress on PS5 but I have to use very very low sensitivity and I typically just move my character with the center of the screen rather than trying to snap to the survivor. My aim is really good doing that way. The low sensitivity means I get spun a bit more and have some difficulties with loops, but my aim is really good with the low sens. I use a higher sens with other "aim" killers like Demo, Nemesis, Pyramid Head, Nurse, etc. It's just those 3 where I need the low sens

I dunno, from my experience the only bad one for a controller is trickster because his damn recoil and sway while using a joy stick is dumb.
Other than that I'd say they're fine, but I certainly wont be against more options. I think options are always a fair thing to ask for

I appreciate all of the feedback. It's mostly Trickster, Huntress, and Deathslinger I have problems with. I'll try but the low fps on Switch makes it a bit of a pain. Especially on the laggy bit of maps.

Little trick with nemesis. When you ready the tentacle, the tip of the tentacle is actually aimed to where the whip will hit. Using as a crosshair helped me enormously to aim his power.

The switch running at 30 FPS is huge. I can tell when I'm running against a switch gunslinger, PC to switch advance especially is most prevalent. I don't think they will ever be able to raise the FPS on the switch, the graphical limitations are something that's limited by hardware. I would suggest avoiding ranged killers if you play on that platform, best of luck on your games.

Crosshair? Where's that option on my console?

There isn't, but the actual tip of the whip when is ready is actually pointing to the center of the screen, where the whip is going to strike, so you can use it as a crosshair, to aim at the survivor. Kinda like this.
You use the whip for aiming, it helped me immensely to play nemesis with a controller.
