Why do BPs from healing skillchecks go into ALTRUISM category and not SURVIVAL ?
Long time ago I had an arguement with a friend. Which category do the BPs go when you're healing yourself? My friend was sure that SURVIVAL, I thought ALTRUISM because I remember seing the sign with two hands holding each other (ALTRUISM). We are still arguing about who is actually right. Because partly, I think I am right. Some points do go to ALTRUISM category when skillchecks pop up. Is there any explanation here? Because in any kind other activities , the skillchecks go to the same category. except healing yourself.

You're not reading the site you mentioned well enough. I found it. But it doesn't say why it goes there.

It's simply a mistake they have not fixed yet. With SC (and only with SC) skill check points should go to Survival score (like the actual self healing score does).
I'm guessing it's such a minor issue, that it's really down on the devs' priority list.0 -

I believe self care should not give BP at all to discourage self caring in front of others when someone else runs Medkits, Autodidact, WMI etc.
Give survival a complete rework instead and increase the BP for healing others.3
