why all the Bandades?
Seriously, why all the bandades? why are you putting bandades on internal bleeding? I get it you don't want people to leave. you want to know how to prevent it? fix the issues. fix all the bad problems. and listen to your damn people. check your steam charts. stop panicing over your problems, and come up with a solution that is not a damn bandade. fix it. or your game will have a slow death.

please, I love this game, fix the core issues, people are getting tired of bandade fixes. you caused this to yourself, now you need to fix it. or you can kiss your game goodbye. swallow that damn pride of yours and admit your wrong cause you are, then fix your damn game. otherwise, you'll drive us all away.

also. if you don't want to here this... why the hell do you have a forum then? why keep it if you don't want to here what your fanbase has to say? wither praise or criticism. a forum needs to keep track of both, listen to both, and see if the critics are right. a critic is better then a praise. you know why? because it promotes evolution. evolve. or fall. choice is your BHVR. because that noose is tightening. and new competition is coming, and they look at you like a buffet. they will eat you up and spit you out if you don't evolve now. before its to late and there games are out. you have until the new competition gets here. don't listen now and its only a matter of time. https://steamcharts.com/app/381210 steam charts say so anyways.

Smells like bait...
They literally said they won't do anything related with band-aid changes/solutions and that how it is. Don't know what you see as a band-aid but they didn't add one imo.
Most people wanted to get the perk tiers removed but they said they don't going to do this because they don't want to fix it with a band-aid and that they are currently working on a massive grind reduction.
So if you consider to list the "band-aids" your talking about go on

okay, enaugh of the criticism, because I believe in doing both. great job on banning a whole bunch of cheaters! that was a great play on your part, still got a long way to go to saving the game but I believe in you. you got this! also if its true of a 4v16, that. will be textbook epic. just mmmh. I'll be playin this game all the damn time. you could literally get tons of money out of it. 2v8, and 4v16 would be epic, add in npc killers and survivors, and solve some core issues and youl be back on track to earning massive player numbers. and more money.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKLNImWsQXo perhaps you should watch this. no need to go on a big rant about all the damn bandaids, so might as well let you educate yourself.

Are you trying to say Band-Aid?
2 -
Cause band-aid is the only thing devs can do. 5 years of band-aid fixes, and never was any issue resolved properly.

Give someone else other than yourself a chance to respond to your thread eh? 😏

I just did :P

They do it too slow when they do make good changes like how it took them years for the upcoming Legion, Hemorrhage, and Haddonfield changes.

What exactly do you consider recent prominent bandaid fixes?

RPD library top hooks. thats a band aid fix that was pretty recent, and killer can just body block survivors, so yes they solved boil over up there. but only now made the top of library killer sided if you go down up there. thats just bad, and I play Killer more then survivor. if I can do that then there's a problem.

if they wanted to fix it they would add two ways up.

yeah that’s actually a good example. But just adding two ways up isn’t really as easy as we like to think as the map is licensed and very close the the source material. The library and the map as a whole need way more fixing though - and I really hope they are working on it (eg splitting it into two maps as often suggested)

The problem with being against band aid fixes is that when they introduce fundamental design flaws into the game they become increasingly exasperated until player discontentment reaches a fevered pitch. So they lose player engagement and are now backpedaling to rectify any mistakes they've made.
IMO, the most compelling example where a bandaid fix would help reduce such discontentment is the grind. BHvR has knowingly allowed the grind to spiral out of control yet the grind is required to be successful at the game. Both survivors and killers need certain perks to be competitive and the introduction of MMR moves the game towards a more competitive direction. A simple removal of perk tiers or a doubling of blood points gained would be well received and reduce the grind while a long term solution is worked on in the interim.
The idea of avoiding duplicate work is ridiculous. Live service games see repeated iterations of different features. Even this game has seen repeated iterations of features. Having a temporary fix to a long standing problem with the game while a more permanent solution is worked on shows the player base that they care and allows them to collect feedback on how to proceed.
Ultimately, I think that certain people at BHvR are afraid of work. It took them five years to add colorblind support. They only added it after negative media coverage.
We still don't have match history, loadouts, an API to collect player stats, one game mode, search function for perks, blood web pathing, soloQ imbalance, garbage killers, same meta, etc...
BHvR views development and innovation as a cost. They are a contracting/business company first and foremost, they have been like this for nearly 30 years with the majority of their work being ports. They want to cash in while minimizing cost so we get MVPs.
The biggest changes we've seen in the game are MMR and map fidelity/reworks. That's six years of development with very few substantive changes. Clearly, we can see where their interests lie.
