Shadowborn experiment | Pro tip: Don't use it

All right I always hear about people getting addicted to shadowborn. They say the better FOV is really good and makes the game so much nicer to play. So I am going to play a few games and see what it is like.

Killer: Blight - No perks or addons

Game one: Really weird playing with it. The survivors look smaller and moving around is different. It is a little weird since it looks like survivors up close move quicker, but at the same time I can see a bit more. It is just weird.

Game two: Still weird but getting used to it. But still weird.

Game three: Not really that weird up close. Getting used to it, but things that are further away still look wonky. However this should go away very soon.

Game four: Stale. Honestly forgot I was using it a few times. Still noticeable, but really messing with me anymore.

Game five: Pretty used to it

game six and so on: Completely used to it. It's nice. Allows for more screen making it even more pointless to be juked up close.

After taking it off again: It is weird. My spatial memory is messed up. Movement feels slightly off, things seem slower, and my judgement of how close a survivor is to me can mess up a lot of lunges. Survivors running into me are almost completely lost now. I got used to having a normal FOV and it kinda messed up the general feeling I have for my killers. I am now trying to get used to playing like normal again without it. However it was nice.

I still don't understand why we don't have an FOV filter. BHVR likes to argue that it would give killers an unfair advantage. And it would... only because they would be playing with a normal FOV that they should already have. Not only that but the difference would not be that dramatic and would make playing killer feel much better all around. it is like the color blind settings situation all over again. Just give us an FOV filter already. It is a very bad idea to restrict settings to perks.
