Strange Corals have been appearing in maps lately. Clues for the next Killer a fishy underwater boss JAWS OMG jk idk what they mean.
They appeared before Devotion. You can't really do much with them.

It's them. I didn't play much during that patch. But yup you can't do much with them right now. One was frozen/frosty in a match.

that means someone who is playing that match with you is doing the challenge connected with them. Only that player can interact with them

If you read the entire article, you’ll find that there are specific tome challenges that spawn them, and allow you to interact with them.
Tome 5, specifically, has those challenges.
