Doctor skill check circle changes?

Just had a game with doctor and the skill check circle would teleport from their initial position to a new location. I've never seen this happen before. Example, the skill check circle will initially appear at 3 o'clock and then teleport to 10 o'clock. Sometimes this transition occurs as the hand is over the success zone and causes you to miss.
