How does everyone feel about Sloppy butcher?
Im very curious on the opinion of Sloppy butcher. I was playing survivor today (i didnt play the PTB) and I found it to be pretty extreme on the degrading of my healing progress. I used a med kit to around 90% before the kit was used up and it like zapped all the progress to zero in literally 5 seconds or less.. i stood there like well holy !#$#! that was pointless as my friend was approaching to finish the heal lol.
Now ok i do know that its effective if a healing boon and bunch of people around healing its effective and in a swf but I think going away so fast with 1 perk on is kinda crazy. I wouldn't mind if it was probably 10% instead of its current 20% increase but damn like it just zapped it away like nothing. Well thats just my opinion it might be the balance issue of the healing boon and stuff to have it this drastic but it really feels like some arms race between survivors and killers going out of control .

Mhhhm. I'm not a fan of it going away that fast. - If only healing when 100% certain the heal can be completed was the point then just make it reset, like with cleansing totems. Would actually be less frustrating, imho. Which does make me wonder: what is the point? The 0.x percent that heal mid chase? The x percent that 99 their heal? In that case I find an exponential regression much better; yes, it goes down real fast at first - but it doesn't punish stupid things - like e.g. a medkit being that teeny tiny bit short and another survivor healing you up two seconds later. - Or accidentally making a step, breaking the heal. - Or is this act of "balancing" designed not around four standard survivors but around a team having coh x1, self care x2 and med-kits with add-ons x2?
And here I thought they wanted tobreakthe healing meta. Not reinforce it.That being said, sloppy isn't exactly meta or something that happens to you all the time - neither are the situations that make it feel somewhat unfair/extreme particularily frequent. So yes, I do think it's somewhat short sighted/missing the point --- but no, I don't think it's an issue (atm, anyway.)

Personally find it a bit annoying to play against as survivor, but there's nothing unbalanced or unfair about it.

Still leveling my Twins and running it on them, enjoying using it. Had some good 4ks last night, including multiple at 5 gens

It's ok, not that good, but not weak either

It's not 20% or anywhere near that. It's 25% of 7%, so 8.75%.

Spine chill gamers when being gaslit by their own perk.

Oh yeah i know its multiplicative but was just saying the perks description of course.

It is Good as killer and good as survivor because heal is to easy so it is good thing.

I'm not a fan of how it hurts Solidarity and Resurgence, 2 perks that were already underpicked. That's my only complaint with the new status effect, though.

It's really good now. I tried it out on Spirit and it seemed like I got crazy value

If we're talking specifically on the hemorrhage change then I think it's good. It's niche as interupting heals can be hard with how quickly survivors can heal, but it can be good time waster and keep survivors injured longer.

Yep that's the only thing they should rethink. Give solidarity a 5 second delay before the decay starts so you don't actually lose something before the other survivor can heal you. And give resurgence a minute or so

I really don't like the Haemorrhage buff, I feel that its buff of regressing healing shouldn't be a thing. It feels way too oppressive for the hit and run playstyle or on killers like Twins. So I don't like sloppy butcher right now!

Yeah it's pretty good

Its far from "oppressive".
With all of the ways survivors can heal quickly having one perk that keeps from from spot healing little by little so they can 99% their heals and then get benefit from Resilience without any risk for the reward is perfectly fine.
Might as well complain about Generators being able to be regressed *at all*.

C- tier perk. Let me know if you have any other questions.

still not really a fan of using anti heal perks
I would much rather use a mangled add on

I've liked it fine. It's probably at its most useful for hit-and-run killers like Wraith or Onryō, or killers like Oni who thrive on injuring survivors and keeping them injured.
I saw a suggestion for Resurgence being that it prevents healing from regressing below a certain point, to make it a counter to hemorrhage and retain its effect even if hemorrhage is in play. Something similar could work for Solidarity, like the delay before he kicks in when mentioned or ensuring progress isn't lost while healing someone else.

I think it’s a better perk now not just because of the hemorrhage but because it penalizes COH a tiny bit more than it used to in terms of how much longer it will take to heal.
If, and only if you have sloppy, coh seems a bit less oppressive. Basically we’re at a point now where sloppy feels worth using again despite coh existing, whereas before it wasn’t worth it.

C Tier? Hardly.
I've had teams of would be shadowstep ninjas taking me to swamp and RPD that get completely nullified by Sloppy Butcher without the need for me to bother with every boon totem constantly.

Its not that great, the effect is nice but it only works if you spread damage a lot and in small maps, other than that its ok, better than before but I dont think it has much room in builds outside spread damage focused builds, which was its niche before the buff anyway.

I mean that situation is literally what the new hemorrhage is built to counter, partially healing. If it didn't quickly get rid of all your heal progress it'd be back to being useless.
Even now I'd still say Hemo is still very situational and one of the weaker debuffs, but it actually does something now at least.

What does shadow step have to do with any of that?

Doesn't really do much, but it's an ok perk. Not too bad, not too good. Just average.

Typically, survivors will heal from 0 to 100% in one go whenever they have the opportunity, and will rarely heal otherwise. The exception being using up the last few charges of a near depleted medkit.
What sloppy butcher does is reward you for interrupting people who are healing, which is one of the things killers are supposed to do in order to gain bp in the deviousness category, but rarely actually do without nurse's calling/some other aura perk. It also passively nerfs circle of healing a little because if one or more people are healing near a boon and you snuff it out, their progress goes back to 0 and they have to waste more time setting up the boon and healing all over again, or just get healed by a teammate. Usually CoH wastes the killer's time far more than the survivor's, but if you're an m1 killer with sloppy butcher, then stamping out the same boon totem 5 times in one game can actually play into your favour (so long as you can keep people injured).
It pairs well with thanatophobia, so people don't just say "screw it" and do gens without healing, and nurse's calling to see survivor auras when they're healing. And while I've used deathbound a decent amount and can attest that it's not as useless as some think it is, it's true that it doesn't activate when people just heal themselves instead of each other. Maybe franklin's demise is a better choice if you want to get rid of medkits.
Overall though, sloppy butcher isn't particularly remarkable. It's a nice counter to the healing meta for some killers reliant on their m1 but for most killers there's usually a better perk you could be running unless you're running a full anti-healing build - which is surprisingly decent, but inconsistent.

Decent perk imo, its definitely gotten better since the haemorrhage rework

Shadow Step hides auras and scratch marks, the increased bleeding from Sloppy Butcher literally leaves a red line going right to any survivor.

I think it's fine
