Predator becomes the Prey

Predator is a contender for the lamest killer perk in the game.


I'm sure lots of you all have suggestions on what could be done to make it better.


What should be done to make Predator a great choice for tracking survivors?

    I will say Predator is my favourite example of a bad perk because it literally makes tracking harder despite trying to make it easier.

    Honestly, I'd give it a complete rework. Upon entering a chase with a survivor, their aura is revealed to you for 6 seconds. Can only trigger every 60/50/40 per survivor.

    Think I'm All Ears, but it triggers upon entering a chase and not upon a rushed action.

    Make it an obsession perk. Obsession leaves scratchmarks through any movement (walking and crouchwalking as well as running)

    Weird and kinda niche, yes. But still better.

    Scratchmarks leavibg behind footprints so you can see which direction they went could be cool

    Predator should increase the sound of footsteps 100% and increase that audible range by 8 meters at max on top of what it already does. That way, Even if they bring in perks like Lucky Break, Boon: Shadow Step, or even Poised or Dance with Me to hide their Scratch marks, Anyone who isn't deaf will get a decent tracking advantage.

    EDIT: It would also be nice if the scratch marks had an aura effect 6-24 meters away from you when obstructed by grass or other obstructions to help you better follow or predict the survivors pathing (Thinking about that "deaf player" jab I made earlier had me feeling bad... sigh, I might be a sadist IRL, and so while I may be a bad person, I'm not a total "Rectum orifice").

    • Anytime a Survivor starts running, their Aura is revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds
    • Predator then goes on a cooldown for 30/25/20 seconds

    Predator is actually the only perk in the game to use the “considerably” tag anymore. Goes to show how old it is
