One Small Request?

I'll start off with this note: I am not enjoying Dead by Daylight. But it's not what you think.

Let me clarify, I enjoy Dead by Daylight, I find it really fun. It's a game based around self improvement and judgement making while utilising specific abilities to your advantage. It's a really well thought out game with a lot more potential to come but what I enjoy most is the community and friends I meet in game.

A lot of different players have some problems with this game, some to do with the perks, some to do with the killers, whether it be ones too strong or ones too weak. My issue is a bit more complex. For the last few years I have been playing DBD I have played against all sorts of people, China, Thailand, New Zealand and some from my own country, Australia. Lately however, I've been having a lot less fun and it's mostly because of the people I play with and against.

I enjoy meeting people online, I enjoy more talking to them and making new connections as I play but recently I haven't been able to do that. It is a rare occurrence that I play against any Australians, most of which I play against come from Thailand or China. I don't mind playing against them, honestly it's good to meet new people with different perspectives and lives to your own but it simply doesn't work if there's a language barrier. So many games the majority of survivors have either bar codes for their names which makes me feel alienated not to mention the fact that a large majority of them love to taunt the killer in the typical way (T-bagging, flashlight clicking etc.).

My solution to this was a VPN where I connected to the Melbourne servers and that honestly worked wonders, every game was an Australian or New Zealander where I could talk to and laugh about our stupid plays during the game, it was the most fun I had in game for a while. Sadly there are limitations to VPNs i.e. poor connections and a costly upkeeps.

So here's my request, can you make an option where people can connect to a server that suits them? I know a few other games have this option so I know it isn't impossible but I guess the question is of practicality. I know for me, trading +10 ping is an easy sacrifice to make if it means I have a more enjoyable time playing Dead by Daylight.

I hope I come across as sincere and not this racially charged post against multiculturalism. I just think many other people would relate to being able to play against people we can make genuine connections with and talk to at the end of the game rather than this monotonous repetition of playing against a community you don't feel like you belong in.
