'shattered hope' isnt enough
when hex undying was first released it was OP. we all know that
boon totems are hex undying for survivors with 2 massive buffs
1: the totems arent destroyed therefor boon usage can be infinite
2: their is no 'source totem' since boons are a base-game mechanic so no possibility to end it early
now with the shattered hope perk those buffs are changed to
1: reduce killer perk slots by 1
2: their is no 'source totem' since boons are a base-game mechanic so no possibility to end it early
killers already need to balance alot to play the game and totem juggling is a nerf to their time management and map pressure. a bandaid fix like this isnt enough and i still have no intention of coming back to the game just to suffer through finding and breaking 5 totems over the course of the game while survivors have free access to gens and im down a perk slot.
it took behavior 5 years to fix DS so i dont have high hopes that they will actually solve the problem any time soon

If boons are such a big problem, it is worth a perk slot. What is so irreplaceable in your build? I find room for Lightborn in literally any set up from end game, to anti pallet, to potato sack troll. You name it. Surely you can just use this one if you see a Mikaela in the lobby. Lol.

Plaything is the cooler Boon Buster it even gives more time.

and undying was only strong with ruin. i guess old undying was fine? Counterforce is all it warranted?

BHVR is survivor sided , they give borrow time be base kit for survivor but not give shattered hope be base kit for killer.

Shattered Hope is a bandaid.
CoH should deactivate itself after certain amount of heals. I will let others debate how many heals but if RUin can deactivate after a death, CoH can deactivate after _________
In addition, boon totem should be visible to killers same way new Noed will tell survs where it is.

If its your only Hex-related perk, give shattered hope the Counterforce treatment and light up the farthest totem once you snuff a boon, but without a timer. If you end up in that direction, you can now stomp that totem and the next one lights up.

First of all, L take.
Second of all, there’s a reason why shattered hope is a perk. If snuffing a totem broke that totem, then any hex paired with Undying, NOED, and Plaything would all be inherently weaker because they require a dull totem.

The problem with shattered hope is similar to lightborn. It is utterly useless if the survivors don’t boon totems like lightborn is against no flashlights/blinds. Even worse for shattered hope, you get no tells that you might need it. Sure Mikaela typically run boons but not always and it’s not limited to her.
Honestly circle of healing needs to remove the self care aspect or somehow do something else altogether. The other boon totems are only good if action is near them whereas circle of healing is used as a safety net to retreat to where the action is not. That’s why it is a problem and the others are not. The killer is far more likely to find it if you use Shadow step, dark theory etc. but circle of healing can be placed in a corner somewhere and the killer wastes valuable time snuffing it.

Only strong with Ruin?
Do you know that if you paired Undying with Haunted Ground that after a Haunted Ground totem was cleansed Undying turns into a Haunted Ground totem and activates another dull totem as the new second Haunted Ground totem?
Do you know that your Devour Hope stacks carry over to Undying?
