Do you buy killer outfits?
Why buy killer outfits? You don't get to see it yourself (except for moris). So why buy it? So survivors get to see it while destroying you? Lol.

I only use shards. This is why they will never make survivor first person and why we only really get killer cosmetics in the rift.

Someone has to slay in style and the horrible outfit combinations the survivors use left a full course meal behind

You see them during a Mori but that's it.
The only cosmetics i own are freebies and that's going to stay that way.
If i would play survivor i would pick my favorite, get them my favorite outfit and done.

I never spend anything in a game if I don't earn anything tangible from it. A cosmetic bringing precisely nothing to the gameplay, I do not buy it. Survivor or killer.

I'll usually only buy weapons, but some killers you can definitely notice certain cosmetics.
Trickster is the exception. Only the fire moon festival one I don't have because it looks weird.

I stick to play only a few characters and main them, if there are cosmetics that i like for them i also usually buy them. I guess there are multiple reason: i like to see the cool outfit more often such as in lobby or ingame animations and i like to give survivors a certain impression when they see me and per cosmetic you can decide the direction of this.

Why do you buy clothes if you don't get to see yourself except with a mirror?
For both situations, I just want to look nice.

I main Mikey and he has just the hospital gown cosmetic. But I love it.
Besides I see it waiting in lobby, when I load into a match, and at the end game screen. Plus there's the knowledge of knowing how you look to the survivors that feels good to me.
I have a couple of cosmetics for Clown too. Any other killer cosmetics I have were acquired from the rifts or through playing events. I only buy the rifts if there's something for Dweet on them.

Why do you buy clothes you think look nice in real life even though you don’t really see how you actually look in them for the most part except when you look in a mirror? Clothes and skins are about you deciding how you want others to perceive your appearance.
That said I don’t typically buy cosmetics, I just use the ones I earn in the Rift. I think the only cosmetic I ever bought with shards was a pink elephant Clown piece since I already had won the head in the Rift and wanted to get the matching body.

The same could be asked of people who wear makeup. I mean, most of the time they don't see her face. But they know they look beautiful and it makes them feel better. The same goes for me when I play Killer. Otherwise I see them in the lobby and at the start of the game like this:
And NO, it wasn't me that zoomed in. She just stood right in front of a hay bale as the camera moved around her 😂

I've bought a few legion cosmetics and some of the Halloween ones that were heavily discounted.. but otherwise they're not worth the money to me. I'd rather spend my money on cosmetics that I can see, so my cells go toward survivor outfits.
Oh and I still think legion is boring as hell to play as and against, but they get some of the best killer cosmetics in the game lol. I also get enough killer stuff from the rift passes that it's enough to satisfy me

I don't usually pick up full outfits, but I do like to customize my killers. Though I don't spend cells on cosmetics for killers (I haven't actually spent any on survivor cosmetics either, but I was real tempted when James was added as a legendary skin).
It's been quite a while since I last picked up anything from the store though. Seems I can usually just get a recolored version of most of the things I want from some Rift or another.

I'm generally pretty happy with the Rift cosmetics for my killers. Clown, Doctor, Trapper, Billy, Plague all use Rift cosmetics. Huntress uses Lunar Festival outfit too.
There's only 5 killers I've bought cosmetics for. Legion (Silent Hill Joey Green Bunny), Sadako (Green outfit), Myers (Hospital Gown), Hag (The Birch) and Demogorgon as I bought everything half price before he was removed from the store.
Survivor side I have every cosmetic for Jeff, Tapp, Steve, Nancy, Cheryl, Yoichi, Bill (rift), Ash, Leon and Jill.
Generally it's easier to get a cosmetic for a non-licenced male survivor.

I have a couple of reasons:
- to make my characters unique and stand out from the rest
- because I like the way they look with certain cosmetics on more than in their base skins
- it adds some ambiance to the trials
- sometimes you just got to go for the meme. Mr. Puddles forever!

The 'plant' skin for Artist, as an example is awesome.
I do wish skins changed animations, effects and audio more.

Very few, i've bought Minotaur Oni, and Spoils of war for Anna.
That's it, i don't really buy cosmetics anyway.

i hate looking at a lot of the default cosmetics for killers like wraith , spirit , plauge, pig so i get them a skin or two
also there are killers that have amazing mix and match potential with their skins like trickster and legion that are so hard to ignore plus some are visible from your pov so its worth.

I don't know why do you buy skins in any first person game? I've seen people say this for DBD only. Why do you care about cool skins in Overwatch or COD or whatever game you play? You can't see yourself during gameplay. The reason people buy it is because it looks cool. You can see it in the menu which does mean something. And just knowing in your head that you look different in gameplay is fine as well.

No I never bought anything for killer.But I'd 100% grab Nurse's tome cosmetic from the store if I played her because I love long gloves like hers and you see her hand constantly during matches.

I tend to buy up sales. If the skins cool, I jump on it. Every halloween outfit (the blighted skins) are pretty much auto buy. I do enjoy spending time perusing the store as well. Window shopping.
New skins oddly make killers feel brand new again.

I do because I love the character. Because I can see them on the main screen. And i know the survivors will see them too, and hopefully appreciate the ascetic I've gone for for each character. But in the end, its for me, because I loved the outfit I made.
