PSA: DO NOT HEAL AGAINST LEGION

I do not know how many times i have to scream this into the aether, but healing against Legion DOES NOT DO ANYTHING

If you see a teammate working on a gen and you are injured against Legion, for #########'s sake, DO NOT try to get them to heal you, Legion's entire power RELIES on you being Healthy to do anything, otherwise, it does essentially nothing, so get on that gen or go find a different one, do not waste 30 seconds of possible gen repair time crouching and pointing at teammates to try and get them to heal you, you are WASTING what little precious time you have on being a annoyance and doing nothing to help

"But what about Thana?" WHAT ABOUT THANA?! THE PERK SLOWS YOU DOWN BY SO LITTLE THAT IT MIGHT AS WELL NOT DO ANYTHING! STOP HEALING AND GET ON GENS OR SO HELP ME I'LL WELD YOU TO THEM FOR YOU!

Forgive me for screaming, but seriously, healing against Legion does not help, unless the Legion is not very good and misses most of their Frenzy lunges, do not heal, get on the gens even if they have the nearly useless and basically purely psychological Thanatophobia, The more time you waste healing is more time Legion has to pick you off, get on the gens, it'll do a lot more for saving your life then healing against a killer who's power lets them get easy injuries

    Yes - and no.

You see, in SoloQ I don't even expect to survive - or plan on doing so. Because if that's your mindset in SoloQ you won't be playing for long; with that mindset the game is actually unplayable. So, if "getting the objective done and escape" that you assume to be the be-all end-all is in fact not it then what is?

My personal goal is usually one of the two: get a pip or max bp. - Either way healing, regardless of how futile it is, contributes toward that goal much more reliably and consistently than an escape. So if someone runs up to me and wants to be healed, sure I'll take those points. (Though I have to add that I usually run a healing build and there's not a lot of time lost - especially when I still have We'll Make It active.) Besides, if being healed is the perceived safety a player needs to stop crouching in the corner and do absolutely nothing, then yes, I'll heal that one as well.

Honestly sometimes I'd rather force the frenzy than run around being one shot the entire game. But I also generally run healing perks (We'll Make It, For the People, Empathetic Connection) so it cuts some time off the healing.

It's situational and it's similar to the Plague trade off. You can choose to stay injured and be one shot at all times or you can heal yourself but risk giving the killer arguably one of the strongest powers in the game. Sometimes the risk is worth it and sometimes it isn't
