This wonderful fanbase (vent post)
Someone who is already having a rough day is bullied into rage quitting their favorite game:
This toxic ass fanbase:
Seriously, imagine being so sickeningly toxic that seeing a fellow fan of a game you claim to love be relentlessly bullied into quitting brings you joy. Is that really what people want? Do you really want to force people to stop playing the game you claim to enjoy?
If not, then why celebrate someone rage quitting? Why put so much effort into bullying and antagonizing other players who are very clearly not in a good mood already? Why try so hard to make this game a toxic and stressful environment that no one enjoys anymore?
Just asking for a friend.
(Hold your troll comments, I've quite literally heard them all, today alone.)

I can only say I'm sorry I guess. Because if I mention disabling end game chat/messages, I am being called a victim blamer.
Even if there is nothing else you can realistically do that would stop it.

What you're not considering is that they love the game for them and they arn't really considering anyone else. Possibly they love it because this game is unique in the way it let's you bully other people.
Thus leading to the dozens of arms race style threads on here about the other side being awful and how you should try to make them as miserable as possible. Which is funny to me because they don't seem to see how similar they are to each other.
Which this all stems from the stomp or be stomped nature of the game and I could go on and on about the effects and causes of that but this has all been talked about before although nobody has qn answer to any of it.
Honestly for such a simple game it's impressive how many different aspects of the psyche dbd is able to tap into.
