Why is Guardian/Babysitter so undertuned?

It's an anti-tunnel perk meant to compete with BORROWED TIME.

7% Haste, hiding scratch marks and blood pools isn't gonna cut it.

150% haste, hiding scratch marks, grunts of pain and pools of blood. Now that might compete with Borrowed Time.

But even then it'd still probably be tough competition between them. Some perks really need to be cranked up to the max to be useful idk why the Devs play so safe with numbers.

150% haste? Have you gone mad? It lasts for 8 seconds man.

8 seconds of 150% haste for a recently unhooked Survivor to help them avoid tunneling.

If that was Guardian's effect, it would probably do wonders for the game health. Keep in mind that BT gives 2 seconds of 150% Haste from a hit plus the Killer is slowed while wiping their weapon which is pretty big net distance and thats what Guardian has to compete with.

It's not underrated, it's terrible: if the killer isn't camping then the perk is useless, and you might as well heal under the hook. If the killer is camping, they will already be at the hook, so hiding scratch marks/blood won't prevent them from losing the survivor.

It's handy for those killers who leave hook but come back as soon as the survivor gets unhooked. A random had it the other day when they unhooked me and it saved me big time. The killer was looking all around the hook area for me but I'd gotten a good distance away by then. I don't know whether it needs any buffing tbh, it definitely did the job.

Wake-Up could be really interesting if it was a perk that gave buffs when there was one generator left.

When one generator remains, generator, unhook and gate opening speeds are increased by 20% for the rest of the trial.

150% haste for 8 seconds is... a LOT, that's like 3 sprint bursts in a row it's absotuley nuts. Imagine if it stacked with actual sprint burst you'd be zooming like crazy lol.

I agree it needs a buff but like that's just too much. Maybe make it 150% haste for 3 seconds, you give the survivor a sprint burst to run away, which should be enough.

    Give it aura immunity

It needs minimum 4-5 seconds to be useful. BT gives 2 seconds of speed boost while the Killer is slowed wiping their weapon. Plus there's a slight delay in the unhooking animation before the Survivor can run.

One sprint burst is enough to gain enough distance, mostly when the killer isn't expecting it (genuinely never been successfuly tunneled when i run sprint burst). Also it wouldn't exhaust the survivor who would still have their exhaustion perk active (unless it's sprint burst in which case they had a 300% speed boost for 3 seconds or 150% for 6 seconds, which is plently enough). I'd say 5 seconds would be the absolute maximum, not minimum.

8 seconds of 150% haste for a recently unhooked Survivor to help them avoid tunneling.

Just ban any remaining non-Blight/Nurse Killer player at that point, it'd kill the game just as well

Don't worry. It doesn't counter No ED face camping, so you'll be safe

The people campaigning for 150%+ haste effect severely undervalue how powerful the 'w' key is in terms of buying time. You might as well just ask to get teleported to the furthest corner away from the killer when you get unhooked.

If you want every Killer to use NOED, then yes, your "suggestion" (can't even call it that tbh) is fine.

NOED face-camping isn't even good, just find the Totem, cleanse it and save

So not only do you somehow think that a survivor having 150% haste for 8 seconds is fine, but you also suggest that you want to give survivors 20% action speed on the last gen as well.

It's one thing to have perks that are a bit lackluster, because there are some really strong perks that overcrowd the pool. But the solution isn't just to turn everything to max.
