Blood Fury Feels SO LONG

So I read that blood fury is 45 seconds LONG!? That is so ungodly long! Considering other powers like Hillbilly who over heats around 15 seconds if they're careful, and Legion only lasting 10 seconds--these are all without add-ons.

I never noticed how long it was until my match just today, I was running my BUSSY off trying to distract a Blood Fury'd Oni for SO LONG and apparently, now I know, it was at least 45 seconds of me looping him while in blood fury. Like I was waiting for the moment it would stop so I could get away, the tiles I were at weren't near anything else so I couldn't make a sprint for it I had to keep hugging corners, but my GOD the Blood Fury just never ended. Oni literally got me at like second 44 because it ended immediately after he downed me.

Now, PLEASE, let me know if I'm way off base. I've never played Oni and none of my friends main him either we know the gist of how he works. Collect blood obs, fill meter, hulk out--thats about it. But FORTY FIVE SECONDS???

Doesn't seem to be much of a problem if it is 45 seconds at base due to the fact that it so many restrictions on it to begin with. It last about 45 seconds so you are right about that. However, unlike Hillbilly that can rev up and go at anytime the Oni has to actually hit people to get charges to that power and when the power is out then has to repeat the process. Basically his power can be denied for lengthy amounts of time unless the Killer can actually get hits necessary. In a good spot that needs a bit of touch up regarding passive gain to ability but pretty balanced otherwise.

Hi, I literally JUST committed to a challenge where I play Oni only for two months solid, so with that said let me tell you why Blood Fury is so long.

-Oni lacks any power at all until he gets Blood Fury for the first time.

-Demon Dashing causes Blood Fury to deplete faster.

-Downing someone in Blood Fury causes you to instantly lose a chunk of its duration.

you could argue that you can just chase a survivor for the whole duration, but if you do that you have now completely used your power for ONE survivor, while the others have likely healed, reducing the amount of blood you have to work with, and done gens.

Aren’t Tier III Myers and Corrupt Purge base 60 seconds? Ghost Face marking too. And all of them can be lengthened by add-ons. Allows for stupid easy camping with no counterplay (speaking of hook rescues). Just had an Oni do this to me yesterday. The power don’t drain if you’re not rushing or attacking.

Which is why I advocate for non-mobility killer powers to be usable near hooked survivors (outside of EGC and basement hooks).
