Why dead hard should be nerfed
Ok, so I'm a killer main and I play many matches a day and I see sometimes all 4 survivors with dead hard, and it's the most annoying thing ever . I even get some survivors that T-bag after the killer misses an attack. Dead hard is just a trolling perk .
Another example survivors camp at the exit gate just to gloat,and then dead hard out the way when the killer tries to chase them
Dead hard dose not make you a better survivor . I think it should only be able to use dead hard ONCE during a game.

It’s getting nerfed because many killers don’t know how to deal with dead hard. I wish more people would evaluate their own plays and realize it’s their own mistakes that lost them a match, not dead hard.
Also dead hard is necessary because of many killers, killer add ons and flawed map design.

So when playing killer if you successfully mind game a survivor at a loop or pallet so that they basically run into you only to dead hard THROUGH, not away from, your attack due to invincibility BS whose mistake is that?
Please explain for uneducated killers how to deal with dead hard.

The nerf won't change much. You will get hits in that you wouldn't have before the nerf, but it wil still be problematic.
They are only going to remove the distance while leaving the i frames. I assume they are going to give it a bonus for actually avoiding a hit as well.

No, it is the perk. Many videos have been made about this, especially KillaWhale's video that utterly demolishes it.

There really is no way to counter dead hard unless you are using really strong perks. And even then you really don't get much out of it. If you get a lucky hit because they run into you , you just got lucky . Dead hard can change a whole game because of the distance they get , survivors all ready get an extra speed boost when hit ,why do they need another . My suggestion to help you deal with dead hard is try to run exhaustion perks like blood echo which can help some times but it's rare are maybe an add-on for your particular killer that cause exhaustion. Sorry, no it's dead hard . This is the most abused perk in the game and it's only creates trolling , it's not that killers do the know how to handle it , it's you survivors abuse the perk. remember it 4 vs 1 , if a killer has to deal with 4 dead hards and then with other perks like lith and sprint burst . You survivors have too many speed perks . Dead hard need to go . It's just too unbalanced.

That was a pretty good hot take on the whole Dead Hard problem, the guy practically echoes my feeling. Would be nice to get a developer response to that, but I guess thats just another pipe dream.
I get that its a loaded topic and survivor mains don't like their toys taken away, but really, no one can understand the kind of frustration when you chase someone for 30s, close in, because you mindgamed them a few times, and then POOF, "Sorry, your princess is in another castle" its all taken away and invalidated because your opponent wasn't just good at looping, but he has also Dead Hard equipped. And the next use is just 40s away.
I took a 2 month hiatus from the game, and coming back, thinking "hey, this game is still fun, I might play this serious again!", until the Dead Hard unfun train run my over a few times, again. Now its back to the abusive relationship.

He literally just says it’s not fun. Watch it again. You know there’s plenty of stuff survivors have to go against that is „not fun“ yet I don’t complain about it every day.

Even if the killer waits it out, knows the dead hard is coming, they can't stop that dead hard from boosting that survivor to the pallet or to the vault.
Its not always as simple as waiting it out.

The survivor will drop the pallet, you break the pallet, drop the chase and go after someone that’s on a gen.

No it's getting changed because it's the most commonly used survivor perk by a landslide and so qualifies for the big meta shift the devs have planned

I play killer. But I play survivor too. And I know some killers need to be countered by dead hard. The perk is literally necessary and that’s why many people use it.

So if i place a trap in a corridor and you d'h over it its my fault for not putting the trap onto somewhere you cant see from a small distance, as opposed to you having invulnerability to it?

If i throw a hatchet it lands it makes the noise of landing but because of dh it doesn't register its a skill issue for me?

Yeah you need to keep in mind that survivors can see your traps and possibly dead hard over it. It’s better to place it random in grass or at windows. They can’t dead hard after vaulting a window.

Yes, many people don't understand that the problem is not that 1 survivor avoids 1 down in a specific chase & zone.
It's on having every single chase of a match being extended extra seconds.

Im not a developer but I’d recommend you to use the bug report section and explain that you want that fixed. It’s definitely not intended that killers can hear the sound of a hatchet hitting a survivor when they actually dead harded to avoid the hit.

Just like survivors want to hold on to every perk like Dh and don't want them taken away like child they get upset . You survivors hold on to everything. You already have too much as it is . Let go for once .

It's not a bug, it's dead hard negating a hit that has landed.
Your running from me in a straight line, i throw, you see it coming, you d.h straight forward, the hatchet is still travelling towards you but d.h negates the hit. So not only have you gotten distance, you've negated a hit because of D.H
So in this example, it's D.H saving a useless surv in 2 ways and this isn't even uncommon, it's garbage survs making garbage plays and still coming out on top. It's not a killer issue all the time.

Yeah I think that’s related to the huge and over generous hitbox huntress‘ hatchets have. They should make the hitboxes smaller, then dead hard plays won’t be confusing anymore.

If it's hit you squarely in the back that has nothing to do with hit boxes, it's a D.H carried my crap play, and nothing to do with a killer skill issue, or bug or whatever way you want to justify it, it's a perk that is busted, and if it was'nt busted it wouldn't be on the top tier perks of use, or in the line for "changes".

Like I said I’m not a developer. Also dead hard has i frames and therefore it’s supposed to „deny“ hits by huntresses hatchets. Idk why that’s confusing you tbh.

Please explain to me how a survivor dead hards is a killers "mistake" all you survivors do is blame everything one the killers there is 4 against one how do you want us to play the game then you don't want us to camp hooks, can't bring NOED so please evaluate more on how were are supposed to play and please give me ONE perk and a map that's counteracts dead hard because there isn't one

dead hard is getting nerfed, too many survivors rely on it so it’ll be interesting to see how “skilled” they are post nerf.

I'll assume that since you have the ability to turn on your computer you're probably trolling since nobody believing that dead hard is balanced might be able to turn it on himself

People could just say "it's pickrate is to high" thats why some perks get nerfed. Same will be happening with dh. They wanna get rid of some of the staleness. And a pickrate of 75% is a big culprit.

Dead hard biggest problem for me is the invicibility. Even when you hit them they don't go down so that's need's to go. But the distance is needed as killers can easily bait it so if that is taken away it pretty trash. Other exhaustion perks like overcome, balanced landing and lithe need some buffs.
