Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Sure you can fix Blights Hug tech Bug but then we can expect that all his Bugs are fixed too right?

So like many know the hug tech is seen as a exploit/Bug and will be removed/fixed in a future Update.

But here is my question or better said my hopes. Are all his "Bugs" fixed then too? Like the big nurse fix Update? Because we are losing a really strong mechanic so it would be helpful if the killer is at least bit buggy anymore.

Bumping into invisible walls

Sliding along a wall or object instead of bumbing against it

Sometimes the power doesn't work for a while

If these things are fixed too then I think most people can learn to deal with the "Nerf" but just removing one tech but leaving all other Bugs would be just cruel. So please fix everthing or nothing

I would prefer if hug tech became an addon with a downside than being straight up removed from the game.

If they fix hug tech without fixing the short object collision, then people will complain that hug tech is still in the game, because Blight would still be able to functionally hug tech by starting a rush while facing a short object.

And there are a lot more things that are considered short objects than you think there are. By short object, I don't mean the entire object needs to be small, I just mean that some part of it needs to stick out, at a very slight distance below Blight's waist, for the collision detection to get confused. For example, the tractor on Ormond is huge, but certain parts of the tractor are considered short objects.

How about they fix the Dead Hard bug first - the one where DH eats a player's power, that has been confirmed by the devs as not working as intended. There's a lot more people using DH than people playing Blight, though I agree that hug-tech needs to go it's just a question of priorities. The DH bug is having a much larger impact I'd say.

if we wanted it as a crutch we would want it to be easier to use not just to stay in the game

The reason its regarded as a nerf is because of simply how long it has been in the game. It has existed in some form since Mr. Talbot was added. This, coupled with basically radio silence regarding its existence from the devs until Mandy replied to my forum post several weeks ago has lead a lot of people to except it as a feature rather than an exploit. And it is a nerf, atleast to his power at loops.

🫂 tech has been in the game so long with hardly any acknowledgement from BHVR up until recently.

Blight was S Tier before people were commonly using hug tech, he’ll still be S Tier after it’s fixed. Repairing one bug doesn’t require repairing all bugs simultaneously.
