MMR/Matchmaking Difficulty
I’m a relatively new DBD player - I started playing near the end of December. I started playing it on my Xbox since it was feee on Gamepass and was hooked. I’ve played quite a bit, primarily as a killer, and have really enjoyed it. But, since the MMR tests, and the supposed changes/adjustments made to the system - I can’t do anything as a killer. Every single game I have survivors that just run circles around me, flashlight me, 360 me, and everything else you can do to bully a killer. I’m lucky to get a hook or two, let alone a kill! I used to have a lot of fun playing this game, but for the first time I got so frustrated I just turned it off and walked away. I’m not sure what happened. Was the change just to me, or are others having this issue? All I know is it’s so difficult and frustrating that I just don’t want to play it anymore. Terrible. I know you can’t see your MMR, but I can’t imagine mine skyrocketed to a level I can’t compete at any longer. Is anybody else experiencing this?

lol play on pc with crossplay off and you will learn the truth, there is no mmr. everybody is pooled into the same groups and you will always run into the same people.

With the new MMR, you are supposed to get more games against survivors of your "strength". However, it's probable that at the time you play, there are not enough experienced killers compared to survivors. Queues cannot be infinite so you may very well get teams way too difficult for you.
At the moment, there is little you can do to fix that, except maybe trying to play at a different time.

In my experience, if the game does give you a couple survivors that are way above you're skill level, it "balances" the match a bit by putting two super weak survivors in there too. Sometimes you have to identify the weak link in a team and go from there.
Unfortunately, when there is a large role imbalance in the queues, it just starts throwing games together more or less. I get quite a few games on my main killers that end at 3 or more gens because survivors are way out of their depth, but I was apparently the only killer available. It's really random, and if you're newer that means it's probably going to throw to the wolves a bit. The best thing you can do is focus on your mechanics and try to learn from those games.

MMR = Make-believe Matchmaking Rage-Inducing-System.
I think we did a purty gud job!

Yeah, in the past I could tell it was easier to play killer during the day - even though the wait time was longer. But since the reset it hasn’t matter at all. I seemingly get a lot of SWFs, and even those who aren’t are all incredibly good, loopers, 360s, adept flashlight users. I don’t know, it just makes me not want to play.

Nope, it's not just you. The devs really ######### up this game with this MMR bullshit

I agree.
They ruined the MMR since the last changes, they did that only because tryhard players were complaining about getting very hard matches so they reduced the top MMR so we the average more casual ones are mixed and matched with that kind of people and this is making me have Vietnam flashbacks of the old rank system. I'm even considering staying afk some matches with some killer and losing for reducing my MMR like as usually did in the old rank system.
It have no sense to implement a change to benefit only the 10% of the player base.

You're greatly overestimating how many players are at the soft cap. Peanits confirmed when they made the change that there are at most a percent or two of the player base over the 1700+ soft cap. Very, very few matches involve the soft cap as a factor.

MMR doesn't exists. The faster people just accept it, the better.

This is a good change. If a top MMR killer only get hard matches, he tires then leaves. Then these top survivor teams get matched against slightly weaker killers and it snowballs and no killer plays anymore.
The only way to fix this is by balancing the game at the top.
It's my understanding that last point is in the queue.

If this game had MMR, that would be really concerning. Luckily our matchmaking is random as it always were, maybe super new players are in their same bracket for a few games but thats about it
