PSA: Speak with your Upvotes
Hello fellow Forum Degenerates,
You should be using the Upvote function. Consensus cannot be achieved from aggregating comments, as has been proven time and time again by the fact that the same damn topics recirculate every damn day, with the same damn people spewing the same, rehashed nonsense everyday.
- See something you agree with? Upvote
- See a fresh take that is worth exploring? Upvote
- Feel like jumping on the bandwagon and harassing someone? Upvote whoever they're arguing with instead
You can't stop people from posting absolute nonsense, lies, and bait, but you can start using upvotes to more concisely communicate your disappointment.
Not an edit: Inb4 I get 0 upvotes and this dies on the second page.

I'll give you an upvote to be at least one guy who proves you wrong. Even if you are fishing for internet pixel points I don't care :). Having someone out there that likes what you have to say is nice. Most people tend to like it. I don't hand them out like candy though because otherwise a bunch of posts with 1 vote tend to lose their value.

However BHVR has been awfully stingy with codes lately for some reason so no codes, which means no Holly pictures
I even have one that is SUPER adorable that has been waiting in the wings for...hell, I think I took that picture 3 months ago now :D

You know, that is tough but fair. This is not the SUPER adorable picture since that is still being saved for when BHVR gives a good code (HOLLY IS ADORABLE for 500000 BP had a nice ring to it if you ask me) but here is a fresh pic of her being normal adorable.

iphone, when you scroll the forum all I see is thread title and reply amount and on individual posts I do not see any votes, on pc I do though.
edit: oops realized its because it logs you out constantly, nvm If I log in I see it, but the forum logs you out if you close safari window.

She was incredibly stand-offish when I got her (which they warned me would happen). She was a cat who was caught on the street during a "Catch and Spay" program while pregnant. Once the kittens were born, she was placed up for adoption and I came into the picture (they believe she's about 1.5 years old at the time when I got her back in September). Took her about three weeks being at my house before she was willing to come out but now that she is out, she loves getting attention and pets.
I think she realizes how much better life is being an indoor people cat than an outdoor street cat as she has shown no desire to ever leave my house again. She's incredibly stand-offish with people (I've had a few people over since I got her and none of them have actually gotten to see her because she hides) so I'm not sure if something happened with her and people at some point or if that's just how she is.
I am curious how it'll go as I'm going on vacation in a few weeks and will be having my dad come over to feed her (she gets only wet food because she's spoiled (see also the heated bed she is lying in in that picture I posted earlier :D) but unfortunately that means someone does have to take an active role in taking care of her, I can't just put an auto feeder out and set and forget). I had taken her to a kitty daycare the first time I went out on a week vacation and she didn't eat at all they said, which was expected but I'm hoping that if I keep her in my house, that'll help. Even if the human is different, the environment is the same. I also know what treats she LOVES so I'll be giving him ample amounts of those treats to see if he can coax her out and interact with someone who is not me.

It's good you were patient with her, so many people aren't with cats. Being in her home environment and having same person give her food will probably help. She may even warm up to your dad seeing him often and getting her fav food and treats from him. Maybe ask your dad for a shirt or pillow case that smells like him and put it near her bed so she can recognize/get comfortable with his smell before you go.
