When will Billy get some love?

I know the meme is "Nurse was OP, so we decided to nerf Billy," but seriously, why have the devs refused to change anything related to Nurse, but so easily nerf killers who don't need it? He's recieved both short ends of the stick, with mediocre addons, only 3 or 4 of which are useful, and a basekit that has one of the highest skill ceilings in the game and is in my experience considered very fair, but punishes you for using it too often?

The fact that BHVR try to remove things like skybilly, which was literally just something people did for fun and had little to no actual use in a chase, while still letting the best killer in the game tear up survivors with a disgusting base kit combined with absolutely insane add-ons is crazy.

Seems like a weird prioritization to me.

I only started playing DBD around November of last year, so I've only seen footage of old Billy. How do any of you think old Billy would fit into today's DBD?

Old Billy with instasaw? Yeah that's a no from me.

    Remove overheat? Sure.

Old Hillbilly was indeed too strong. However it wasn't his base kit that was concerning but mostly his addons. The old insta saw was unfair and it's good that they removed it. The reason Billy is not as strong anymore is partly because as you stated his addons are pretty bad if it isn't for the few actually good addons he has, the overheat mechanic which is more annyoing than really a nerf in most instances and the maps and tiles we have now. There are so many ways in which they could give him some QOL changes without him becoming overpowered again, like maybe make the Death Engraving base kit so you aren't as dependent on addons anymore or look into his hitboxes on objects around him a bit. Just some little things really.

I said it before and I stand by it. Hillbilly is pretty much the abandoned child of DBD by now.

I think its more of random stuff making certain tiles uncurvable. Take the red forest long wall as an example. You have to go even more out to dodge past it and by the time you curve past that the person had time to vault back or get to the other side.

I know, I know. But it would get better at least by a bit if they did just work on Billy himself. We can't expect to see pretty much 50% of the maps reworked for this. Especially in jungle gyms you see those weird bits coming out of the wall quite often (who would even build a wall in such a way lmao).

It's annoying to, cause everyone was saying "Just remove instasaw addons" and not only do they do a completely pointless overhaul on his whole kit and give him godawful addons in the process (thought they are a bit better than their initial counterparts after some tweaking)

He still has a saw charge cooldown addon... Just decreases his movespeed to 110%

If that isn't the most BHVR sounding move, I don't know what is

Once I get my degree, I’ll join BHVR and fix the game, including Billy. Don’t worry.
