Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Shadow step I find is the worst Boon perk

I know there's I'm going call it Boon:Unbreakable but I mainly find Shadow step bad because I've faced it as killer and I still don't understand the point of it a survivor can be in the range of it and their scratch marks are still seen no joke isn't shadow step supposed to prevent scratch marks to be seen I don't get it. I don't know if it's a bug or maybe just some other thing where their not in the radius of the Boon I don't know I just don't like shadow step.

Okay so maybe the survivor just isn't in the radius of it when chasing them

I think Shadow Step is stronger than Exponential or Dark Theory. It's very map dependent - on Eyrie or Ormond, it's not going to do a damn thing - but on a dark map, or an indoor map with lots of doorways and LOS breakers, it's good. Of course, the weakness is that the boon announces that it's nearby... but if someone places it on a two-story indoor map? Yeah, have fun tracking survivors without scratch marks. Shadow Step on RPD is one of the most evil things in the game.

It does hide scratchmarks, the problem with this boon is if you use it in an open area or low wall loops is essentially useless, it hides the marks but not yourself. Its much better than Exponential.

It's not. It's the second best boon and sleeper good.

Have fun against it on indoor maps. There it suddenly becomes A tier.

Place Shadow Step near a gen and you're good to go should the killer come your way. Also, add Sprint Burst and the killer will never find you. But not always guaranteed to find a totem near a gen you want to work. I've actually had killers reach out (even content creators) and say my placement and use was impressive. Of course I found a better build for my playstyle but this is definitely great for those who just want to work gens.

    What? No. It's amazing.

For what it lacks in having your scratch marks hidden on an outdoor map, it makes up for in hiding your aura. Though as a killer I will say it is a huge pain in the butt having to deal with shadowtepped Corn.

And on indoor maps? ######### forget about it. Killer better be good at tracking blood pools because that's all they're getting.

I've been running Detective's Hunch, Iron Will, Circle of Healing, and Shadowstep lately when I play with some friends. First generator finished, I see the ideal totem for a boon and go light it up.

It’s the second best boon by a long shot. COH is better though.

I don’t think the perk is good. The perk is only good on like 3 maps. Super map dependent. Coh is the only good boon perk. And now that killers finally have counter play against boon (which is a good thing) there is no point in running any other boon except coh.

    You're using it wrong.

Shadowstep is amazing. After the nerfs to COH there's room to argue it's now the best boon. At any rate, the other two boons are absolutely worthless so it will never be the worst one.
