why do survivors blind killers at pallets?
Ive noticed its very common after a pallet stun or a pallet drop they will blind with a flashlight.
But you dont really get any value out of it because you kick the pallet and the blind is over by the time the pallet has been destroyed and thus the survivor achieved nothing and gained no distance.
I despise flashlight the most in this game but i never mind a flashlight blind at a pallet because i dont feel they are achieving anything at all.
What is the rationale here for doing so?

Also now there’s the new perk that gives the killer the Blindness condition for 30 seconds when you flashlight blind them, which is actually now a somewhat more practical reason.

That perk is a very new addition, but the pallet blind has always been a thing.
For me, pallet blinds are the only way for me to get any flashlight blinds done, as I suck at the timing and aiming.
But when I got a flashlight challenge, I now go for blast mines and flashbangs. These two actually work for me and are much more fun to pull off.

More points. If the killer isn't wearing a headset some survivors can juke them after a blindness.

Blind at pallet, use quick and quiet into a locker

Because you can make more distance, simple. Killer can run to wall or any object while they are blind. And you will make good distance.
And plus Haddie's new perk is also makes blinding killer more useful.

And then when they check out the nearby lockers, Head On stun them and, when they just recover, throw a flashbang at their feet.

but you dont make more distance because its over by the time im done kicking pallet and you arent moving while your using the flashlight. You gain far less than just running and you might have a pallet end up staying there for later.

It stuns the killer and masks what direction the survivor went after the pallet. Granted, most killers will hear you, but with Iron Will it's pretty effective.

Ah, i am blinding them when they are in stun animation. And chain blind when they are breaking pallet.

if your not wearing headphones i suppose but there are still foot steps and track marks to go for. Seems like youd get far more consistent value by moving away since killer still breaks pallet while your moving or has to navigate around the loop
. ah i can see that, in my experience thats not what 99% do. they throw a pallet and then click their flashlights and im just like lol ok and kick pallet and then am immediately back on them.

Im using earbuds but like holy ######### sometimes theres so many background noises. But yeah generally most of the time I use echo location to track them while blind.
