I just sat on a gen with a friend
I had a green Commodious toolbox with the socket swivles and my friend had nothing
In general the gen should take 40 seconds if both of us isn't using a toolbox right ?
well guess what it still took 40 seconds as I started the stop watch exactly when we started that generator !
so my Moderately more speed toolbox + moderately more speed add on is just a lie ???
and yes we tried it on 3 gens not just one !
Is this a hidden nerf to survivors ?

Isn't like 80s for one survivor = 40s with 2 survivors
There's diminishing returns depending on how many survivors are working on a gen
That's why genrush exist and require 1 survivor per gen

As @Malakir said it's much faster to work solo, especially with a TB unless you've got a group that's excellent at hitting skill checks. Throw in Ruin and or someone missing the skillcheck and you're working in reverse some.

by the way I tested also with no toolbox , 2 persons we did it in exactly 40 seconds
so yeah diminishing returns means removing my toolbox and its add on !!

@powerbats God as much as I hate gen rush but I don't use ruin because theres honestly a good 90 % chance it wont stand 60 seconds

No, it doesn't take 40 second, it take 45 second (44.44 seconds if you want to be stingy)

So one of you hit a great skill check therefor the percentage that are taken from the game code are wrong sure dude.
Without hitting any skillcheck it take exactly 44,44 second to fix a gen at two without a toolbox if one off you as the shitiest toolbox available it drop it to 42,10
If you both have it, it drop it to 40 second

It's not about agreeing or disagreeing, it's about math and the way the game is programmed.

You need 80 charge to fix a gen by default working alone on a gen provide 1 charge/second meaning that if you don't hit a great skill check it would take 80 second.
For each additionnal survivor that work on the gen you lose 0,1 charge.second.
Meaning that survivor will respectivly give
1,8 charge a seconde for two survivor
2,4 charge a second for three survivor
and 2,8 charge a second for four survivor.

Toolbox had respectivly
10% for slighly (or 1,1 if you are working alone)
15% for moderatly (or 1,15)
20% for considerably (or 1,2)
25% for tremendously (or 1,25)

No lets do the math
You where working on the gen with a friend and a modratly increasing toolbox
(1,15-0,1) + (1-0,1) =
1,05+0,9 = 1,95 charge a second
80 by 1,95 = 41,02

So either one of you hit a great skillcheck when you fixed the gen or you took to much time to start your timer (or you decided to round up to 40 because who care about 1 second)
Will on the test one you hit multiple great skill check

Ok I have to say calling people child and such and threatening to report them doesn't help any on here. The persons age while relevant in an external sense doesn't negate any points they may be trying to make.

Also threatening to report is reportable in and of itself since that's considered a form of bully/harassment according to the rules of the forum.

If you feel a report is warranted then hit the flag button and submit a report and leave it there, no point in promoting it.That usually just earns you a report back starts the usual flame wars.
