After 7 years Monstrous Shrine is getting a Buff
Say good by to the most OG perk. I'll miss it dearly, but now that it is getting a buff, what's it gonna be? It's probably just going to be a whole rework.
Let's hear some ideas. Here's mine.
Big Daddies Shrine:
Whenever the basement chest is searched, the searcher receives the exposed status effect for 75 seconds. Whenever someone is hooked in the basement all survivors auras are revealed for 5/7/9 seconds.
Pretty simple not too op not too terrible. Balanced perk

My honest first guess would be when you basement hook someone it will create scourge hooks across the map that can be used or have some sort of debuff in proximity. I doubt it will be a huge meta perk or a heavily focused goal perk like Devour Hope for example because it's a huge task depending on the map just to basement hook someone.
I realistically see them just scrapping the idea for basement hooks all together and the basement will be a second focus on the perk.

Who told you it's gona be buff? I am sure it will be nerfed thanks to all Basement Bubbas and Trappers and Hags out there.
They will reduce all numbers to 0,3 / 0,6 / 1% for sure. That is for sure.

I think BHVR stated quite clearly that they don't want more scourge hooks on the maps. A lot of people commented on Monstrous Shrine convertin the basement hooks into scourge hooks, but BHVR never responded positively to that idea.

Nah it's actually just gonna be removed because of how op it is to have the chance to be on every killer. Instead it's just going to be built in to bubbas power

There is no guarantee that the perk is getting a "Buff".. or any of the perks for that matter. They're being reworked. You're going to hype yourself up and become victim to it.
There's also enough aura reading perks in the game, especially for the killer now. We need original ideas. Your idea, while neat, will make things like Territorial Imperative completely broken and OP.

I’m lowkey hoping it just gets reworked into something completely different and basement is removed from the game. It’s an extremely unhealthy mechanic and always has been

Turn it into Scourge Hook: Monstrous Shrine
Turns all hooks in the basement to Scourge Hooks. Hooked Survivors have their sacrifice timer decereased by 10/20/30 percent.
All other active Scourge Hooks are transferred to the basement

Id rather they get some decent servers rather than any perk reworks yet, especially this massive. Its been years since we got dedicated servers and Freddy still has a WILDLY abusable 50 foot lunge that can hit through any vault or pallet(you can practice the range very easily). I'm not going to touch on hitboxes(like survivors healing a dying survivor so their hitbox is literally behind their butt). As far as I can tell, They don't even do proper maintenance on them. Better servers are needed WAY more.. especially if they're going to encourage VPN users because of the doxxing against streamers since they can't secure the game properly.
