Tips for using a flashlight?

I recently picked up flashlights, I have a bajillion of them sitting in my inventory so I figured why not. I usually bring medkits or toolboxes but I got tired of that, so I wanted to try something new.

Getting a flashlight save feels so rewarding, but damn it's hard to get the angle right, not to mention sometimes even when it's on their face I don't even get the blind, which is definitely just me sucking with them. Other than that I like using them at loops if I'm not injured or running Iron Will, since it can throw off some killers.

Any tips on how to get better with the flashy?
