Exactly what I expected
Massive update in the killer”s favor. The nerfed perks on killer side are hardly nerfs, while survivor perks get hard nerfed. Killer perk improvements are very good, while survivor perks changes are so-so at best. They really do hate survivors.

Uh hello
Ruin was nerfed massively
Corrupt ends instantly after a survivor is downed
Pop no longer gives 20% straight regression, it's 20% of CURRENT progression
Gens now take 90 seconds
BT is now baseline
The changes impact both sides in positive and negative ways. While I don't know I'm 100% a fan of all the changes, I will say there is at least changes on both sides

These are perks killers will still run.
corrupt could potentially last longer than what it is now depending on how long it takes to down someone.
ruin isn’t even run anymore as is because there are better perks
pop is still powerful combined with the 2.5% automatic gen loss upon kicking
2.5% gen loss per kick and 10 seconds longer to repair a gen.
the survivor meta was nerfed so hard no one will run those perks.
we do get the 5 second BT, but that won’t really stop tunneling, just extend it a little- yes, bravo bhvr. This definitely an update in favor of killers.

They actually achieved the opposite and made tunneling a more effective tactic than ever, 5 second basekit BT can be easily waited out and DS is pretty much dead, not like it helped much against high mobility killers like Nurse and Blight, now it's even easier to tunnel a survivor out of the game. In the end people will still be forced to run BT or Off the Record now.
Also meanwhile they slightly increased genspeed's making camping more effective as well. They should have at least increased the hook timer. And in general pretty much everything about killer is buffed.
I don't get what they were thinking with these changes.

Corrupt is still 2 minutes though but it could end much quicker than that if the killer gets a down
meaning corrupt is now weaker on STRONGER killers like Nurse, Blight etc

You can still run BT as it will increase the duration by 10 seconds. Now you have an option if you don't want to bring it.

They said what it was: The number of kills was lower than they'd like it to be. 🤷
Still has to go through PTB. I expect some changes to occur there.

I had a genuine out loud "#########" reaction at the removal of the BP bonuses from BBQ and WGLF.
We'll see how everything plays. I'm certainly not losing many games on my main killers currently, and they're going to give me 90 second gens. The changes to pallet kicks/bloodlust will help the lower tier killers out a lot, but it's still putting a bandaid over map design issues. I'm worried about the killer changes focusing overly much on mid level play and breaking high level killer play.
Basekit BT and Babysitter haste is nice. Would have liked to see the survivor aura reading from Kindred make it in.
Matchmaking incentives are a huge positive.
Overall a mixed bad. The BP bonus removal is kind of baffling. The grind isn't and will never be a feature.

Anyone complaining about a single item and not seeing the forest through the trees is going to be in for a bad time.

Or you could run off the record for 80 seconds of endurance. Tunneling will be the worst possible choice if this perk becomes meta, which it should
2 -
you couldn't have said it any better. esp. solo survivor has been hit hard with these changes
0 -
off the record will deactive once you do any other action than just running around like a chicken
0 -
If you're doing anything other than that, then you aren't being tunneled
1 -
it won't stop the killer from tunneling you, it will continue chasing after that hit (and they also nerfed the speed boost after a hit) so yeah

Survivor in general being worse? No.
Solo survivor going from being a hellscape to being a cruel and sadistic punishment fit only for the souls of the damned? Absolutely.
0 -
Then you continue the chase and predrop all the pallets and the killer loses. You're complaining about a non-issue at this point

Wouldn't that just mean you exchanged one meta perk for another and the situation is pretty much exactly the same? So nothing really got fixed, it just swapped perks.
0 -
There will always be a defined meta in any game; I'm not sure what your point is
0 -
I thought it was supposed to shake up the meta instead of shifting BT to... BT Plus. The reason people use those perks still remain so it's not much of a shake up.
I didn't say there isn't going to be a meta, I suggested the meta for survivors didn't change much because the reason that those perks are meta is still there.

Agree. I am still trying to process the changes but it is a massive killer buff at all levels.
