I am quiete concerned about endurance now
Its beeing used in the upcoming patch rather careless and with way too long durations.
I wouldnt mind if this would be with one thing like only base borrow but we have now a lot of other sources with it like off the record or new borrow.
What I am saying is imagine you try to chase the person who just unhooked and now the unhooked guy with a 15 sec borrow just block you at a door, you literally cannot wait it out, 15 sec is way too much. Same goes to off the record ofc.
You are basicly forced to keep hitting ppl now which I get with the 10% reduced cooldown but idk its still gonna be alot of tanking now...
I would honestly like to see some kind of deep wound or more like mend nerf. Not increasing the mend time cuz thats boring but make staying in deep wound more risky. For example you are oblivious while you have deep wound.
Taking hits with endurance is way too easy especially with all the new and changed perks.
Maybe I am just thinking about this too much and maybe this wont happen too often but I have the feeling that this can be pulled off way too easily and often.

survivors can still do that with the current borrowed time..

It's possible that it can happen in a small vacuum of instances but for the most part there are more open space hooks where this shouldn't really matter much especially with new blood lust values if being blocked in an open space. I for one welcome the new change since I don't play a tunneling/camping type of game I guess it doesn't really affect me as bad. Tunneling someone to death isn't fun for them and is boring to me so I never saw the point of it, the DS nerf I think provides enough of an advantage with the baseline kit changes.

ye but 8 sec arent that much compared to 15 sec.

Ye I guess we are gonna have to see how it will go, still excited though.

Doesn't the endurance go away once you hit them though? So it wouldn't be 15 seconds would it? It'd work the same way Borrowed Time does now

Borrowed time is currently 12 seconds not 8

Plus since borrowed time will be basekit there will probably be less borrowed time users so you won’t see it as much

true 8 was the styptic then mixed that up. I believe borrow will still be played a lot cuz 15 sec is indeed really good and plus the haste effect.

Ye that is how endurance works. And that is the issue, that you are forced to hit survivors since their endurance lasts so long. Especailly if you are getting literally blocked by a person with it.

I'm fine with Endurance for not being tunneled, however currently and with this upcoming change even more Endurance is instead used for body blocking. They intentionally force you to tunnel them to use it as a 3rd health state.
They need to somehow make it usable to prevent tunneling but not body blocking.

As amusing as it is to have OTR be the ultimate "Fine, i'll do it myself" of BT, 80 seconds is absolutely nuts.
They really just need to have the Endurance status remove your collision.

exactly

I've always thought they should just change the Endurance effect to be a zero collision effect like where you just walk through the survivor and your swings don't target them.

personally for me, I tend to run stbfl on most of my m1 killers, so if survivor insist on bodyblocking me, they're just going raise my stbfl stacks to 8 quickly. I hate bodyblocking with passion when I play killer, so I won't have any issues with it as I run a perk to punish this type of gameplay.

Yeah, I just don't like having perks as bandaid fixes for bad design.

Forget baseline endurance, it should just remove the survivor's collision imo. That was a bad idea with current BT because it would give away whether the unhooker had the perk or not, but now that it's known that everyone has it it's no longer an issue. It should be a mechanic to disincentivize tunneling, not prevent the killer from going for someone else.
And yes OTR seems ridiculous
