Window vault hits after a fast vault have gone sooo bad lately.
So I watch loads of streams etc and quite a majority of us are experiencing really dodgy hits? Has something gone wrong? I just want fun accurate chases and this is painful :(

Good thing you'll have Dead Hard giving you Endurance as you vault soon.

Lol not really because it’s hits that shouldn’t be connecting? So why would a survivor activate it?

I see a lot of killers hitting me at times I would never got hit before. Its like they are 0,5 seconds in the future while their body is still in the present? Its really strange, not just your usual laggy hits.
Often times I stun them with pallet but get hit AND they end up on my side of the pallet while stunned by it? That shouldnt be possible anymore.
I really question the distance every chase now cause what the game is showing me on screen, cannot be trusted.
Or is that the rubber banding people are talking about?

Not gonna lie I notice this stuff too. At least, getting both a hit and a pallet drop is now more common for me. I think it's the servers being stress tested by the huge player increase thanks to anniversary.

Yeah I know what you mean! I think it might a rubber banding problem- happens mainly in chases to me! I don’t think the servers can cope 🥴

It hasn't felt as bad as the survivor movement/UI update that basically had our past selves from a second ago getting us hit and downed, but it's felt pretty bad. Plus the random silent vaults, jittering, warping around a little at random..

I've seen a survivor who rubberbanded and as a result forced to slow vault windows, sadge.

This my fellow players is what is called Hit Validation a horrible system that lets the server decide if a hit connects or not.
Basically you vault or pallet drop at the same time the killer attacks. The server sees this and decides that either your command to vault was received before the killers command to attack. Basically the Server says that the killer initiated the attack before you did the vault or pallet.
Now the same can happen to the Killer as well. That's where the DH ate my power complaints came from. I have had a interesting Hit Validation when I was playing Oni....I was chasing a Bill and he reached a pallet. I attacked and got pallet stunned but I got the "hit" because I got the blood orb absorption animation and got blood orbs but Bill was not injured.

omg this has happened to me!

Yea, I've been hit from another galaxy many times. Like huntress' hatchets downing me while I'm around a corner and broken los for a good 0.5-1s.
The pallet thing has gotten worse. I had a match recently with the killer chasing an injured survivor and I was going to take a hit for them, got the opportunity to stun the killer and somehow all 3 of us got teleported to the other side of the pallet, killer got stunned and I got injured anyways... like what? 🤨

Streamers often have internet lag/dsync/rubberbanding because they are streaming a game and playing a game on same PC.
DBD is a game that can be streamed/played on one machine, but often streamers have connection issues caused by streaming, they then blame the devs and the game, but really its their internet bottlenecking

I had rubberbanding and I don't stream. I also have a very good Internet.

no this happens to me on 500mb fibre internet... and im not streaming

What you are experiencing is a killer with bad ping, so he appears somewhere further back than he actually is on his end.

i mean its happening near enough most matches- so not every killer has bad internet?

getting an awful lot of hits where i dont even flop down- just instantly on the floor. the lunges of killers seem soo big its so hard to judge- game feels like its struggling a lot.

Once thing I've accepted is that as survivor like 90% of the time window hits are going to feel sketch as hell.
That said, as killer 90% of the time they look legit and clean. And I have great ping.
It seems like it's just a general latency issue.

It feels like there's been a bit of a desync issue the last few days. With the instant soundless vaults, hits through windows from 6 miles away and also hits that just phase through survivors entirely.

Those silent vaults are not random, they're more consistent than the hit validation.

Right now there seem to be several things wrong with locked animations. For example sometimes I see survivors skipping frames while vaulting, shortening the initial vault time. I also witnessed rubberbanding during vaults and other animations. Whatever this is, I hope it's getting fixed soon.

High ping doesn't necessarily mean your internet is bad, there a quite a few factors that go into ping. On top of the fact that both your ping, and their ping matter when it comes to window vaulting.

Hmm, something might be up. I am still whiffing a lot, as usually, but I have also gotten quite a lot of lounge hit in chases that were little more then leap of faithes and visually they juuuuuuust barely connected with the tip of the knife/blade/claw, but counted. I am not complaining per so, but it wouldn't hurt to get some insight into this: is this a bug? Is this validation? Is this intended? I am getting better, pixel by pixel?
