Trying the PTB is mostly pointless.
Survivors are rage-quitting at first down in almost every single match, I feel like I'm grouped with a kindergarten class of ever-melting snowflakes. Every few games, I get a good one where I can try things otherwise its just DC, DC, DC, DC ...
Strangely, it doesn't happen with the survivors I'm grouped with.
Without some kind of barrier to stop repeat DCers to play, it is just a big waste of time. I'm back to live.

Survivors move to PTB because they can play without DC penalty.

its just dcing and trolling

The good news is, you don't even need to play the PTB to understand how devastating some of the changes are. We all got brains.

PTB-testing is pointless in general. Because there is no Matchmaking and most dont really play seriously.
But this PTB was something special. I played exactly 3 games and then I went back to live:
First game against a Blight. One Survivor DCs early, Blight facecamps me (3v1 with 4 Gens). The other two DC as well, I suicide on Hook. Blight in Postgame Chat: "Why do you leave?"...
Second game against a Legion, someone DCs a few seconds into the game (apparently there was also some error on the PTB, so maybe not even a Ragequit).
Third game against a Nurse who wanted to slug all 4 Survivors. In a PTB where you might want to try out the new Off the Record.
So. Yeah. This time it was special for whatever reason.

I don't bother with PTB personally in part for reasons above. That said, to be fair to the PTB, it does serve a purpose in that it can sometimes catch glitches and unforeseen problems that then get changed before something goes live. Contrary to what some people seem to think I'm pretty sure most or all of the major patches have a few things tweaked between their PTB and live version (e.g. toning down Ghost Face's chase music that was irritating people, tweaking how Artist's birds worked, adjusting the graphics on Dredge's Nightfall, etc).
So while the matches on PTB are probably more frustrating than the matches on live it does seem like the devs still manage to get some actionable data from it.

Sad that many people don’t use their brains and don’t give constructive feedback at all

Not sure if that was directed at me? I've already opened up a thread or two, and made plenty of comments about this upcoming patch.

I actually played out one PTB game without DC's, it was bizarre
Obviously I had to DC myself right after downing the last survivor, for tradition

No! Not directed at you, just at your statement that we all got brains (which might be true but there is still plenty of braindead feedback threads and complaints..)

Changes, yes. Devastating?
Besides OTR that seems strong and maybe Overcharge (I didn't test it personally but went against it) I didn't see anything that looked "devastating".

Do you ever play solo survivor? Or care for those who do?

It's all I do as survivor.

That's interesting. You see no issue with camping remaining unchanged, while increasing repair times; some of the perks that help solo the most being nerfed into oblivion; faster killer action speeds; and less survivor distance being made after hits?

I didn't notice much difference compared to Live.
If anything, OTR was very helpful and DH wasn't an issue in practice. I was also using BT to extend the endurance.
Of course losing Spine Chill and Iron Will (on all my builds since forever) is kind of annoying but devastating? No, not that bad. I may change my tune after several serious games on Live though.

Thats how surv boost killer stats so devs leave it that way.

Another reason console players should be involved in the PTB
