Any videos testing grabs of survivors out of fast vaults at windows?

So I keep seeing some people claiming that you can’t grab a survivor out of a fast vault animation, but other people claiming you can. And looking over the official wiki history it looks like someone tried to add a line saying fast vaults prevent grabs and it was removed a few hours later by another editor, so there doesn’t seem to be consensus there either. I also can’t seem to find any videos of people either carefully testing this out to see if it’s possible or a snapshot of it happening in a game. The thing is since fast vaults have such a short animation time (0.5 second before any perks reducing it) even assuming it is possible to do it’s going to happen much less often than a hit before or after the vault happens, and if a grab does happen it might be difficult to tell if the survivor did a medium vault or a fast vault since the animation would get interrupted so quickly.

Does anybody have a link to an actual video or dev comment confirming one way or another if grabs out of fast vaults at windows are possible? I can’t find anything other than anecdotes.

I don't have a video but from personal experience fast vaults and unhooks for some reason start the grab animation but never go through.

I've never seen it. I've never even seen it start the grab animation and get rejected.

It might be one of those things that are intended to be possible in theory (only the devs would know), but they never happen in practice because of coding.

The 0.5 sec animation is not that fast reflex-wise and it's plenty reactable. It's not that different from reacting to it with a ranged attack and that's done in normal practice.

I backpack survivors all the time and wait for them to be in animation lock to avoid a clench tech. The outcome is always the same. You swing and they go through the whole animation.
