Also meant to ask, what books do ya'll like? =) I read a lot of fanfiction but I'm stuck on Charllaine Harris!



So I have primarily used my Kindle for fanfiction recently, actually. But I've been trying to buy books. But I am finding that some require you to stay on an app now? Like, Kindle wants you to buy books on the app. Is there any website that just let's you download the eBook directly to save on your computer to basically back it up? The whole point is to have the books so if I'm away from wifi it won't be a problem. Honestly, I wouldn't mind ripping books from somewhere, but I want to buy manga specifically. And those will have better quality from an actual store. :/

    I use Calibre to backup my ebooks. It's free.

    I've used the Kindle app on my phone and the books download on to my phone, I don't need an internet connection to read them. Same thing with my Kindle tablet, I just download books onto it and then I don't need any internet connection to read them. Not sure why you would need internet connection if you're using the app on your computer outside downloading the books in the first place.

    I'm assuming if you like Charlaine Harris it's for her True Blood series. If that's the case check out Jeaniene Frost Night Huntress series, if you like the True Blood series you'll probably like that series.

    Actually, I started out True Blood but she has a really good gunslinger series called An Easy Death that's really good! I will try out Jeaniene next!
