To live or not to live
So I just had a match with the dredge (Who I hate) Two immediately killed themselves running to find the killer and let him hook um and I was left with just myself (Kate) and a Bill. We literally still had 4 generators left we did some sneaky team work and avoided being spotted. We were down to one generator left and obviously the dredge comes popping out of a locker so I decided to try and distract him I take off and let Bill try and finish and just as Im about to go over a pallet I go into a damn locker right by the pallet not meaning to do that! So of course grabs and hooks while the Bill tries to hide and unhook me but it’s difficult because he was camping. He finally comes and unhooks me and there comes dredge popping out of a locker again and I have no chance at all. Goes after Bill and knocks him down. I felt so bad, I mean really really bad. While on the hook I tried to kill myself so he could possibly find hatch but he tried to save me so we could try and get out together. Kills us both and does the thing everyone loves and starts hitting us while on the hook. I would like to know if its that close a match would you or would you not let someone live? Im that person when I play killer And I really see a hard effort I totally give a pass. Im curious about everyone else.

I understand your point of view, but in a match where two people immediately give up turning it into a 2v1 at 4 gens, as a killer I'd just want to get over with it and move to the next game
Playing hide and seek with two extremely immersed survivors who manage to do 3 more gens was probably extremely frustrating for the killer, I wonder how long the match was (unnecessarily?) prolonged because of this, while the point gain for everyone was probably extremely low
Basically unfun and not worth the time at all
When situations like this happen I usually try to get at least one more out of the game and go for the rng, whoever find the hatch first wins
The slapping on hook was kinda petty though

Totally get ya. Yea the match was going on a little longer then I expected but to my defense he kept hitting me every time on the hook which really pissed me off. He would only hit me like that and I think it’s possibly because I had my gay flag to show my support for last months gay pride, so Thats primarily why I did it. Usually Im like just kill me already. Sometimes the killer will even be cool in that case and just give whoever’s left a break since its really not a fair fight. I know they don’t have to but its really cool of them when they do.

Their rage-quit penalty must be very high. I usually slug survivors acting like that. (There are acceptable circumstances of course, but certainly not at the start.)

Just a bad match all around, with the two survivor leaving and the long game. Usually, if that happens to me I either let them get gens done or just hook and kill the two remaining. But I am sorry you got hit on hook repeatedly, sometimes killers hit once on hook to silence the screaming but that might have changed.

I wouldn't be very excited about a game dragging on for so long, but I'd def give them a pass. Even if it's 1 dc I don't tryhard. Unless they're being super toxic then yea, I'm going to cut it short and just move on to the next one asap.

Total bad match. I hate when they drag out but in this case I didnt care because of the constant hitting while on the hook and he would only do it to me and not Bill 😕

If it's clear you're doing gens (which you were since it went from 4 to 1), I'll generally let them go.
But as a survivor, I recognize that the killer has no obligation to "play nice" just because my teammates were a bunch of jerkfaces. Sucks but whatchagonnado?

I'll come get you, but if the killer has NOED, nope, nuh uh, you are on your own, lol

Im the same way, I know its how the game is played but I like to play fair I know its not necessary but Ive come across so many jerks and I don’t like to be one of those. I remember being new and had so many cool killers who knew what was up Im also kinda the same way now. Yesterday I had 2 newbies who I could totally tell were new because of their gameplay and I just couldn’t bring myself to kill them lol I don’t know why I feel bad I know its just a game.

😂😂 That I would totally understand haha I think its so funny when that hex notice goes up and I see the remaining Survivors just peace out.

If 2 DC i would be friendly killer there is no need to spoil others fun.I let them repair heal and stun me let them escape

I would say that as long as you were continuing to progress the game and still trying to play legitimately, then I wouldn't have been annoyed as a killer. If I could tell people were progressing the gens, then it was on me not being able to find them or patrol well enough.
I had a similar situation happen recently where my one friend got disconnected after completing the first gen with me and then the second survivor suicided on hook. So it's now a 2v1 with 4 gens left to go, 2 of them being over half completed though. The other survivor and I get two more gens completed with 25% started on the one. I eventually get hooked and the other survivor actually decided to unhook me. The demo continues to go after me and then mid chase at shack he just decides to swing at the gen to let me finish it. Literally mid-chase the killer decides to let us escape because I guess he respected that we didn't give up and continued to play. I personally was try harding my butt off because I was 2 pips away from iri and didn't want to keep losing one/gaining one cycle.
Some killers go easier on you once they realize you never stopped trying to play the game even with disconnects/suicides on hook and others just want to go next game. I don't care really with what the killer chooses because I've been on both sides, but hitting on hook is unnecessary.

Thats a pretty awesome story. Yea i really respect players like that, again I know they dont have to but it just shows they like to play a fair match kinda like myself. Sometimes there is a long wait for matches and it sucks they have to wait for a match again just because some sore losers decided to quit.
