Cutting down the BP grind and new players

...Just remove perk tiers. That's it. Perk tiers are the main reason the bloodpoint grind is so BAD. And the more perks you get, the worse it gets. I think the prestige change is good, other than the ridiculous prestiging fee, but with the removal of BBQ and WGLF BP bonuses the grind is going to be almost the same as before.

This isn't a problem for veteran players of course and overall benefits them I'd say, but the BP grind reduction should have been focused on NEW players over veteran players. The grind to get into this game is ridiculous now, requiring hundreds of hours of grinding just to get your characters in a good place, let alone all the DLC chapters slapped on as well, and many perks being locked behind characters you either have to buy (licensed) or wait for their perks in the shrine, which current shrine is a complete joke. (4 perks a week? Seriously?)

And on the topic of getting into the game, why in the world do you have to not only pay the base game fee, but also buy a ton of the DLCs just to have perks? The shrine in its current iteration is useless, the killers that cost shards are way too expensive and require way too much grinding just to unlock a new character. DbD is so new player unfriendly it's absolutely ridiculous and honestly shame on the developers for not doing anything to really address this issue at all.

Why not make some of the older DLCs free? Spark of Madness, Of Flesh and Mud, Curtain Call, Darkness Among Us, etc. These came out YEARS ago. There's already a ridiculous amount of DLC tagged onto a game that you have to pay for to even play.

I want new players to get into and enjoy this game, but the new player experience as a whole is awful. I've personally tried to get people into this game only for them to see the absurd grind, the gatekeeping of perks behind DLC, getting facecamped or tunneled by killers, etc and they just quit. It's disheartening to see.
