MMR after being away from the game

I seem to recall during an update, it was mentioned that your MMR will go down gradually during times where you are away from the game.

Having become burned out from the game after MMR first set in, I left the game for a good few months.

I returned, finding teams that were more competent than the ones before I left. I'm not top tier killer. I still make obvious mistakes, don't use ruin + undying and my favourite killer is Pig.

So I found it incredibly difficult to get back into the game after a break.

Has anyone else found this to be the case?

I believe they mentioned adding in MMR decay over long periods of time but never actually implemented it yet.

Well, that would do it. I forget that for every piece of information from BHVR, you have to check whether it ever actually got implemented or not.

Remember too your MMR score doesn't mean you'll get matched with survivors of the same "skill". There are way less killers playing which means those high MMR survivor teams will get matched with lower MMR killers more often than not. I honestly don't think a lot of killer players will return until the update. I'm one of them.

I havent really played killer since event ended and have no desire to until the meta changes. Got the flan burn out I think. Been playing Salt Sanctuary this week LOL

I didn't even play during the anniversary event tbh. Killer has been in such a bad spot it just isn't fun. I'll jump on survivor if a few friends hit me up but that's it. For me i've been into back 4 blood. I'll give killer a shot again with the changes and see how it is. Not looking forward to that endurance stacking if they keep it live lol

First of all the MMR regress never came and even with it, thanks to the softening of matchmaking parameters during unbalanced queue times, it doesn't even really matter and sometimes we are back to "rainbow rank" like times.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has been finding killer unfun at the moment.

Maybe if I played Blight, Spirit and Nurse, I'd understand survivors burning through my games to get out.

But when I finally down someone as Clown as the second gen pops, and then I get bodyblocking and all the 'fun' stuff, it gets old.

Here's hoping the 'meta shake-up' changes how M1 killers feel. Even if only a bit.

Definitely not in the game yet.

Quit the game eight months ago. Came back to play 12 games for the masks, got 0k on around 10 of those games. No desire to go for a 13th.

I came back for the masks. And it felt like a chore to get them all.

I just can't believe BHVR haven't implemented the MMR a slow MMR reduction over time. There's nothing worse than going away from a game for a break, only to return to the sweat fest that is MMR.

We should've had MMR decay from the very release of MMR.

I've been saying this all along, with MMR being as open range as it is, it might as well be non existent.
