Is MMR currently disabled?

Are there any secret changes to the MMR in progress or is it temporarily disabled?

I've noticed repeated complaints about MMR and Solo Q over the past few days. Also, I feel like the MMR isn't there at the moment. In Solo Q I mostly have bad teammates and killers, it's rarely the other way around. And when I play Killer, I rarely get really good SWFs these days. I mean, I don't want to complain, but I've noticed a change in the quality of my teammates and opponents for a while.

I can't tell you what MMR I have. But since I mostly survive and make 2-3 kills on average, I shouldn't be in the low MMR. Have you had similar experiences?

It could be that more experienced players have taken a break. The anniversary event ended last week, so a lot of people could be going on a hiatus with their flans. I've noticed a dip in my teammate's experience as well, and I've gotten a couple of survivors from killer side who didn't seem totally aware of their surroundings.

I've had similar experiences on the solo q side.

The past 3 to 7 days my team mate quality has definitely lowered.

Solo Q was already a frustrating experience but somewhat manageable, but these last few days? A lot of players with less than 100 hours when I have over 5k+.

A lot of team mates suiciding on hook/disconnecting just because.

I think it was two days ago on two matches team mates just gave up because it was a blight.

It's just not fun at all.

I've noticed this while watching a friend stream killer. She played multiple different killers and 4kd every single game (except for when survivors get hatch). Almost every survivor was bad and that shouldn't have been possible if she was getting so many 4ks. It was pretty crazy so I told her to go for some adept achievements and she got them first try (even at Iri grade) because the survivors were bad. I think she only lost 1 game from the past few days of watching her stream.

That is possible. I have no motivation to play because I'm waiting for the update and new rift to go live to give me something to do. I grinded like hell during the event so I'm kind of exhausted now lol.

Always tough to say. I suspect they tinker with it more than they let on. Solo queue has been essentially unplayable for me at peak hours for a long time now. Teammates are too bad. But I typically have good experiences during the daytime when populations would be more even.

I escape 60-70% of the time during the day and maybe 30% of the time in the evening, and that's largely because 1 or 2 survivors in the lobby are ridiculously bad relative to the other players in the evening.

With the anniversary over the playerbase is back to about normal, you can see the peaks over the last couple of weeks were around 75k and it’s back down to about 50k in July.

With the new system and ranks being invisible. They can do whatever. There's no ladder or anything related to MMR so who knows, maybe it doesnt even exist.

As a killer main every single group I've come across that isnt even a true SWF has the best perks , the best coordination and absolutely destroy me (I'm decent at the game and understand different tactics)

Well I'd assume alot of people are on a break after the event.

I physically have nothing to aim towards and with the new prestige system out in 2 weeks I may as well take a long break and play other games.

Iv personally gone back to evil dead to kick some demon butt

I had a months break from Killer (but before the break, it was kind of the first time I was playing Killer). So I don't think my MMR is high. Not at all. But the MMR has been OK for me. Some very good Survivors team (I mean, too good for me), and some "I don't know what I'm doing but I have a 10 euros cosmetic" team. I mean, if they have a cosmetic, for me, it means they're not super new, but gosh, they love to hide behind walls.

As a Survivor, it's a complete disaster. I play a lot of Survivor games. My teammates DC immediately after being downed (and stay to insult everyone in the end game... OK, if they have time to waste...), suicide on hook, just hide for some reason, replace their Boon everywhere on the map to check what's the best place... I die a lot because I'm the one who's trying to progress the game. A three-gen situation? I take the Killer away from them. I mean, it worked for that last game. The others were able to finish the last generator. Then let me to die while because escaping is too important.

I'm a Survivor main, but I'm frankly considering becoming a Killer main as soon as I'll be less incompetent... My MMR was fine last week. I had decent teammates/Killers. Now I have selfish Survivors who hide every now and then, and Killers who feel so overwhelmed that they start to tunnel the only dumb one who isn't hiding (so... me).

Idk but I noticed last night a few killers I went against had one or two perks at tier one or two, and weren't the best.

mmr doesn't work in this solo game and never has. you just go to the free lobby. a little mmr works for swf.

this is a reason to never play this game again. if the developers don't give a damn, then the players even more so.

Yearly Annyversary event brings people back cause that's the highest expectation period for DbD then it takes a tumble again once people realise it's just another copy paste event and nothing changed during a whole year.

Off-topic, but getting more than 1,000 hours in this game is crazy. Just saying (I only have around 700 on Switch, so it's impressive to me)

    Don´t think so.

But you can´t really tell as it works kinda unpredictable - at least for me.

If you already have 700 hours you will get more soon... if you keep playing it rises and rises. But for Switch this is also impressive.

Never thought i would play so much time in any game - i am at 1.6k.

Thanks! the only other game I spend quite as much time in is Borderlands. I can;t really talk about it here, but it's a good game.

I this hour I usually get SWAT teams. I wanted to ensure the last pip so for once I've switched from my "nothing" build to my strongest build.

Instead I got puppies. I felt dirty.

The next team wasn't much better (but at least I've switched to really weak killers to balance it out).

    What's happening?

In the past, 500 hours was considered "out of the newbie zone" mark and 1000 hours the "knowledgeable" mark.

I'm pretty sure a lot of the users roaming here are well past 2k hours.
