Why are we in 2022 and bubbas facecamping still hasn’t been fixed
I normally don’t like to complain about stuff like this (mostly solo que) but I’m sorry. Out of the three survivors games I have played 2 of them where facecamping bubbas with dead lock and noed. The other was a pyramid head which was fun but that’s because I love playing against them. The only difference was one ran bamboozle and the other one didn’t.
I could have played better and should have anticipated the noed (which is another thing that perk and dead hard should have gotten nerfed harder). But the feng that got facecamped first did not deserve what happened to her. I felt bad. This bubba was also a twitch streamer don’t worry I wasn’t toxic towards him compared to his next opponents. All I asked was “why” and he says “because it’s fun and easy.” Great. Then has the audacity to say “ggs”. Him in chase is fine I don’t have a problem. But his camping is ridiculous. Why is this not fixed? Also @GoodBoyKaru did we not have a deal to trade my bubba matches for your blight matches? Lmao

The sad part is whenever I hear him rev his chainsaw my brain goes into immediate split gens and finish them asap. So it’s not even a matter of play the game, just hold M1 as fast as possible and move on to the next match.
I know not all Bubbas play this way, but just about every Bubba does.
It’s about to get worse too considering they have 50 extra seconds.
At least that guy admitted it is “easy” half of them think they actually did something beyond anything anyone has seen. 😂

1st of all facecamp was removed, this is what people call camping... 2nd you have already a counter: take kindred and do generators (as solo survivor this isn't a problem for me, unless the other survivor were dumb enough to reward that kind of gameplay... in those cases i can always play for the hatch)

I am sick of it. Practically every Bubba I get does it. I had two tonight do the insidious face camping thing. At five gens.
I legitimately cannot remember the last time I faced a Bubba who played normally instead spending most of the match staring at a hook.

When I was taking stats, it was something like well over 75% of Bubba's facecamped the first person they downed.

Weird I just played against an Oni and while we lost but I had fun with him actually chasing me and hearing his music. Weird. I hate bubba so much just because of the camping. It’s way to oppressive in solo que and their is no counter to it. Especially when they bring noed.

no, i just like the image, but even then so what? it's a perk like the others, i don't see problems with it
this is a wrong statement, you could still counter noed (after all it's only a totem that must be cleansed) even if you were 3 survivors, the only problem is that he wasted your time with dead lock but even then if a survivor play safe from the beginning, the team should have enough time and fix at least 3 gens, even when deadlock is active

Personally, I don't understand why certain killers have intentional limitations for camping (Artist, Dredge, etc.) but the King Facecamper himself is good to go.
What it's certain is that it definitely won't change (at least not for better) next patch, with the extra gen time. You get a glowy aura of the noed totem, though, that you won't have time to cleanse through a facecamp anyway. Deadlock is untouched, but even if it was longer gens would offset that. Mini bt is irrelevant, Bubba can already double smack through normal bt and that's assuming he royally messes up and allows the unhook.
I saw one suggestion saying that his saw should stop the dash when hitting someone with endurance. But that doesn't change the fact that the unhook is impossible (yeah, the tantrum meter mechanic is DOA, it never worked against his camping, as even minimal testing would have immediately revealed).

If you watched the video, I was the one that got smacked with noed as soon as the last gen popped. No way for me to counter it. I tied playing as safe as possible at the end. The beginning I got robbed because of my wifi

yeah it’s a mess. This killer came out in 2017 I believe. Why is this still in the game? Why can’t they fix it? Can I sure as hell know that the feng that got camped first didn’t have a great time spending most of the match on the hook with 0 chance to get off.

I don’t get it either. But then again there were people defending Afk pig as well. His facecamping ability needs to go. He can get some buffs in chase but damn fix his camping please

I’m sick of it too. Luckily after that match I didn’t get a bubba and I actually got killers that played the game. I lived vs an Oni and legion. Died vs a Myers and trapper. At least they didn’t camp the hook. Or should I say first hook. Bubba is the killer I hate the most for a reason

They cleansed NOED at end game? So what? Now they can save their teammate? No because Bubba is still facecamping. I don't know why you are trying to defend him but you are clearly can not see point.
Bubba with NOED + NWO + Deadlock can secure 2 kills easyly. And with upcoming update, it will be worse.
But yeah "just do gens and escape bro :(". But people can not complain about how busted it.

The face camping bubbas really do ruin the game for the rest of us.
Every now and again, I'll stick insidious on bubba and do little jump scares on survivors if I can get a decent indoor map. Now, everytime I run, everyone assumes I'm going to facecamp the hook. I hate facecamping bubba with a passion after my second ever survivor game was just that.
And while on the subject, has anyone realised yet that facecamp bubba is getting a massive buff in the next patch? What's the counter to facecamp? Do gens. But gens are being made longer. And with the new change to monstrous shrine (which every facecamp bubba will use now) killing people faster, the facecamper will get to kill their victim faster and find another in a quicker time.

In the ptb, I had a deathalinger and 2 Bubbas that facecamped and got 3 kills. We still tried to do gens but with the longer gen time and some of their perks it wasn't easy. One Bubba gloated in the end game chat saying "Bubba never looses!"

Yes it’s getting a buff next patch and that makes me so excited. The only true counter he has was deliverance and ds in the endgame but now that’s gone. I just really find him unfun to play against because of the camping. I have a couple of videos vs bubba. One specifically where he is doing the basement bubba tactic. Horrible

Unfortunately, I was wrong about the monstrous shrine change. It doesn't work if the killer is within 24 meters. So facecamp bubba won't be using it. So at least that's not an issue

Bubbas don’t bring any scourge hook perks anyway. The perks they bring are bamboozle, noed, iron grasp, agitation, insidious, deadlock, Franklins, barbecue and knockout

That was tough. It happens that way sometimes. You can't control another person's play style or ask them to play differently. You have to adapt and see if you can get out of there. If not, just learn from it and on to the next match. You won't win every game.

Bubba's problem isn't a balance one, it's a fun one. The counterplay is obvious but how much fun is that? It should absolutely be addressed.
The only real way to deal with camping (and tunneling) is change the 'losing' condition for survivors (i.e getting hooked 3 times) and/or changing how hooks work.
Anything else is going to be too intrusive or enable the unhooked or would be victim of tunneling/camping to punish killers who are not tunneling/camping.
It'd require a massive rework such as making all hooks work similar to Pyramid Head's ability, only you'd have to still take the survivor to a hook for it to teleport them to another hook (so the entity can savour in peace without the killer watching them eat, because that's creepy) so therefore camping is impossible or at the very least, the survivors have a better chance to rescue the victim. The problem is obvious though. A few things are based on the survivor being where they got hooked so it would require a lot of effort to fix and may cause other problems. One that immediately comes to mind is that basement would be rendered useless.

That too. I forgot about DS getting nuked. Back in the days you could try (stress on the word try) go for a yolo unhook against Bubba and hope to break the cycle of hook trading via DS.
That was already gutted when DS was made to deactivate on just tapping the unhook (not even completing it). Which means you can't even try to bait a grab unhook and then DS into the actual unhook. Still it was a low percentage play. But at least it was a glimpse of hope.
Now DS is going to be obliterated in endgame. Even more useless.

I agree with your post, but I do not think they will change entire-win conditions to address the fun-problems.
typically, they just add survivor second chance perks to address those fun problems. I'm surprised that there is no anti-face camping second chance perk. I'm sure survivor would use it to address their fun problems with leatherface & other killer that facecamp hooks.
they did have chance to change base-kit aspects on survivor in the 40 upcoming perk update, but it seems like they're ok with facecamping killer gameplay.

I don’t think they will change it either but if they don’t it’s always going to be an issue. They can give as many second chances band aids as they want, it ultimately won’t solve anything.

I'd say second chance perks adds risk to the strategy. your less likely to do the do strategy as the player if you think your going lose for trying to push a survivor into second stage/third stage by complete force.

If it wasn’t “fun” then people wouldn’t do it. I have a blast doing it. I’m not hardcore enough to do it consistently but if Survivors are going to be ######### to me, game after game, then I’ll pop on Bubba and facecamp all my frustrations away.
No matter what changes they make to Bubba, you guys should know that Killers will find the ‘best’ way to find the right Killer/Build/Playstyle to create the best experience for Killer and the worst for Survivor.
All your going to do by “fixing” this is create a new problem to cry about xD
Just give it up and accept Bubba for who he is~
