Of course they will. Just like people were saying no one will ever play killer after this and that and people still play killer. Why people play m1 killers still?
"X side or whatever is dead" is always exaggeration. I feel bad that I even have to say this because it should be obvious lol.

Solo queue is thoroughly unpleasant as it is because players have to choose between info other players get for free or better perks. On top of that, it's pretty much unplayable at peak hours when you get teammates well below your skill level who straight up throw games and don't know any better. Don't give me a 1 minute queue if I'm going to have two teammates with a fraction of my hours at -350 or more MMR if I'm above the cap. I'd rather wait or not play at all.
If the devs are ok with SWF (which is fine), then how do solo players not have baseline aura reading when teammates are on hooks?

Have you seen the challenges in the Archives? BHVR doesn't care about toxic game play. In fact, they encourage it.
The smart call would have been to implement solo/duo/quad lobbies. But here we are, the same debate over and over again with the end result being the game will never be balanced.

I hadn't played swf in a while because my headset broke and I got used to not having to talk in solo q. Just ordered a new headset...

That's a bad argument because a tunneling killer isn't standing still either for 5 seconds. Currently, as Killer, I can follow a survivor for 15 seconds and easily redown them off hook. 5 seconds is nothing, with 15 at least you can possibly get to a loop unless the killer sets you in a dead zone.

I play only solo queue and I don't see anything here that fills me with dread or rage. On balance, I don't think it's gonna be any better/worse than before.
I am totally on board with adding baseline aura reading, though. Plus some of the solo buffs that were briefly discussed a while back.

Currently they don't get a speed boost, to be fair, and that requires the survivor that unhooked them to have one specific perk. This new mechanic is on top of any perks that survivors may have, including the perk they're almost certainly going to have, Off the Record.
I'm not against buffing this new mechanic but duration probably isn't the problem. Probably the % of Haste you get is where I'd look.

For anti-tunneling, I think it would be better if the developers had the basekit 5 second BT but also give the survivor a 5 sec Sprint Burst off of hook. That would make it more appealing for the killer to chase the unhooker instead of the unhooked.

Yeah, like I said- buff the Haste they get. Maybe not fully to Sprint Burst levels, but something that's a little more than the 7% they get now.

The meta for killer is still overcharged call of brine eruption and whatever your heart desires.

I only play Killer pretty much and I have zero issues with queues. Nearly instant.

Makes sense from what I've read the problem is in America this game is mostly populated by European players.

I am in the U.S. and by and large my queue times as killer are less than 10 seconds. During the anniversary event they got longer, but we're talking less than a minute. And now my queue times are back to near instant.
There is no version of reality where I can see killer queue times being 10-30 minutes, even if you were to halve the survivor player base.

Nah, overcharge having such a slow start will prevent it from becoming meta. Just as call of brine or eruption aren´t meta right now. Sure, you´ll see killers test a variety of combos of those perks, once the patch goes live. But after 2 or 3 weeks none will be meta.

What do you mean even with the slow start you get a 200% reduction with call of brine and eruption you get the reduction plus if someone gets hit with it they cant do anything for 30 seconds by the time that 12 seconds is done the damage will already have been done just throw in dragons grip for insult to injury. Its already the meta in the ptb. Over charged is still a great perk.

The 200% reduction is just the normal speed a single survivor takes to repair a gen. Survivors would really completely forget about that gen they started, in order to get any benefit from it.
Eruption will work with the normal regression speed. Not the 200% from overcharge and dragons grip will be as meta as its right now. (nobody uses it)

Just play killer or play something else, if it really happens and a lot less players are queueing solo it should force them to improve the game for solos, I doubt killers want to play against 4 stacks every game anyway, it's bad for everyone

eruption works as normal but call of brine gets a 200% boost plus dragons grip is good with the new gen regression 2.0 build.

Bruh, no Killer that waits out BT now, is going to be waiting out the 5 second basekit Endurance in this release. These are monsters that know what the perks are. They're going to assume you 100% have Off The Record (which you will, don't lie, you're complaining on the forums about Meta Perks Nerfs, we see you) and smack you at their earliest convenience to just get the Endurance effect over with.

Solo is alive and well. If a survivor wants consistent and reliable counters to camping or tunneling, get better at chase and grab some friends. There's nothing wrong with a killer making it difficult.
Every survivor gets 1 hook based on individual skill. You want the additional 2 hooks then teammates have to provide them.

There's a really useful perk that a lot of people overlook which can help solo q players a lot. It's called "Git Gud".

That is not the point of the basement at all. No hook is meant to equate to little hope of escaping. Basement or otherwise.

Solo-q is rng, you can not choice your teammates and solo survivors have no information or coordination like SWFs. Plus please show me how much you are good at solo Mr Git Gud.

Why should Solos equip a perk the Killers have staunchly refused to use? We should do the same and complain until BHVR caves in it worked for Killer mains, it should work for Solos too.

Call of brine already has that 200% boost and isn´t currently meta. It doesn´t get buffed so nothing will change in that regard.

Solo q will definitely be more difficult. We'll be back to having to run BT still, because a 5 seconds BT is nothing.

CoB will be def meta after update. BHVR is changing meta to kicking gens. Overcharge nerfed but it is still good combo with CoB.

I remember some years ago killers mains were starting "strikes" several times, as their reactions to some DBD changes, trying to make people stop playing DBD for several days (the main DBD forum was on steam back then and yes, it failed of course), the killer outcry to smallest nerf was always huge, they cried about EVERYTHING and thought that survivors are OP. Then DEVs released escape stats and it was in favor of killers, killer mains started denying the stats, making out conspiration theories, calling those stats fake.
Now they tell us that survivors are "overreacting" and that it's "embarassing". I just have to laugh about that. The only thing that's embarassing here is killer main hypocrisy. But that's no news.

Comes off as a little ungrateful, not gonna lie.
All this update needs is 80 seconds on hook + rework hook grabs to not work on healthy survs and it's great. Then also let killers see hook stages, because why not? Increase killer FOV. You know. Basic stuff.
Later, they can add more info for solos. I do seriously think the lack of info for solos is very depressing.
"This player can pick themselves up, this player can self unhook, this player has been working on a generator for 5 seconds, this player has an active decisive strike"
I mean it can't possibly be that hard to add in a couple HUD elements right, and it would do wonders for solos.

CoB also was the perfect match for Pop. Yet, people only played that combo for a couple of weeks and then completely stopped combining those 2 perks. I can´t remember the last time, i´ve seen someone use CoB.

Solo que survivor will always be hell I feel. You make a good point about camping being indirectly buffed by gen times. It takes a total of 6 minutes to do all gens now, excluding all the other variables such as the distance traveled to reach one and locating one. It takes about 2 and a half minutes for survivors to fully sacrifice. So from a technical aspect you can get 2 kills and have 1 minute of gen time left. All of these numbers are taken at the absolute efficiency.
If we count the average chase time, around 30 seconds, you're still guaranteed two kills at least.
The only way to fix camping is to attack it directly. I think a great fix for it would be healthy survivors can't get grabbed when unhooking. It's still a trade but they can get the unhook at least. Or making the hook timer slow down when the killer is within 12 meters of the hooked survivor.
