What is the point of "rate match"

I mean, does the information go somewhere or is it just a forgotten useless function?

    I used to rate matches. I wish there was some kind of reward for players who consistently get good ratings on their matches.

    It's pointless. Just like giving a player a thumbs up or down.

    It's data the Devs can see. So there's that I suppose.
