Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Prestiging underused characters: a good idea?

I've read about the upcoming prestige changes which will result in 2 additional prestige levels for every prestige you own on your character(s).

I'm considering prestiging some of my unused characters who are currently stuck at lv50 after only being leveled for their teachables. I assume this would be the best course of action? After all their prestige level would automatically be raised to 3 after the update which would secure all their perks on tier 3 for every other character.

What do you think, would it work out or am I possibly missing something?

Absolutely, if they are not used and have little put into them, prestige. If you have 120 perks or close to, don't bother, it would be better to save all of your addon/items.

Thats what I just did. 20ish of my survivors that I never ever play were sitting at P0 lvl 50. Popped them all since they basically had nothing on them anyway so it doesn't really bother me. Cuts down the perk grind to basically nothing aside from universal perks and a handful of survivor specific perk ranks.

If they don't have any addons or offerings you want to use, go for it.

Put points into characters you will actually play.
