When Elm Street license was renewed and Quentin got his face reworked, why wasn't Freddy?

I know that Quentin still doesn't look same Kyle Gallner but it's close enough, so why wasn't Freddy modified to resemble Jackie from the movie, or the sweater color wasn't updated to green and red like in the movie?

    From the looks of it, the Licensed Holders are picky.

    It’s Probably the reason why we haven’t seen Speedo Quentin.

    I don’t think the license was ever renewed. Tbf for how old Freddy is now his model hold up pretty well except for the lack of facial animations

    Ita probly never happen but id love for them to make him look like classic freddy n get robert to do some voicelines. Was not a fan of the remake n even tho i love jackie as an actor, he kinda sucked in that role. Just didnt work for me

    Afaik Freddy in dbd is modeled after the reworked Nightmare on Elm Street movie, not the classic Robert Englund 80s Freddy and people obviously would be more happy with the latter for nostalgia reasons.

    I am fine with the way he looks and would just love if they did a full powet rework, again, and make him more interesting, fun and effective to play.

    I'd also prefer a Robert Englund model/skin, but the Freddy model is pretty film accurate, don't see a need to change it.

    Quentin, on the other hand, was a heinous monstrosity that looked nothing like the actor. Or a human, really.

    Thanks for clearing that up. I am on a casual non-binge 80s horror movie rewatch and already got Freddy 1-3, Hellraiser 1+2, Halloween 1+2 and Texas Chainsaw 1 + '22 remake under my belt.

    Actually the sweater is Green and Red even in the remake version, i mean that Freddy's face should be reworked to look more like the movie version

    as much as we want classic Freddy, it can't happen due to him tied up in so much legal problems and different holders that it's nearly impossible to get a license for him, last time he appeared in game was way back in C64 and NES
