Will the new iridescent border be available to get after the update goes live?

I want to prestige some of my survivors, but they have year 3 and 4 cakes that I don't want to lose. Will it be possible to still get the new iridescent borders if I prestige my survivors after the update?

I feel it's unlikely because legacy costumes never came back, I don't know though.

Nope. The border is a reward for having to lose all that stuff.
Which I'm kind of :/ about the whole deal. Not specifically that aspect, but rather that it's going to look pretty offputting if you have a fully P3ed roster and then all new characters henceforth can't get the same background.
I'd keep the cakes, personally. In the long run, you won't be able to get it on everyone anyway.
